Including mine, my account was suspended. Reason given:

    URGENT SECURITY WARNINGS - by Charis - 12DP Admin at 2005-11-23 14:59:40
We have just received notification that there is an email circulating to 12daily Pro members that appears to be from a 12daily Pro former staff member encouraging people to download and open a graph document. The document states to be from someone called jessie02@12dailypro com. This email address has been spoofed; it is NOT from our email server.

DO NOT OPEN THIS DOCUMENT. THIS NOT FROM 12DAILY PRO OR ANY CURRENT OR PAST STAFF MEMBERS. This document contains a malicious keylogging program and/or addtional spyware that will compromise the security of your computer.

The individuals sending this email are part of a large scam operation based out of Singapore that is attempting to compromise the security of our program. We have blocked their IP range access to our site so this seems to be their next mode of attack.

In addition to steering clear of this email, we urge everyone to immediately login to your account and change your 12daily Pro password as an added measure of security for your individual account. We have a solid security network but rest assured we are also now taking additional measures to insure these individuals are stopped and brought to jusice.

We ask that you please pass this important information on to your downlines as well.

We will keep you updated as we know more.
hing to get paranoid if you have read the latest news today.

Alot of victims in here i guess after reading their forum thread. Well lets just be patient and wait for the verdict from them.

I am sure that things will be worked out. I would say that some people have been scamming and you have been caught in the crossfire.

Where do you access the internet, at home I assume? Do you have a dynamic IP or a static IP? What is your provider?

I often find myself banned from various sites. Not HYIPs or surfers, but plenty of other sites. My IP is just blocked even if I am a good user. I am in Japan using a huge broadband provider and I guess my IP often falls within the ranges of undesirables. If nothing clears up in a couple of days, and you need any help with your “case,” do let me know. I would be glad to help. I am not a lawyer or anything but I am pretty good at PR work and a damned good letter writer.

I have been to Singapore more times than I can count. A little too clean for my liking, but a beautiful place nonetheless.

I managed to glean some info off of their forum. It seems that a scam letter also originated in Singapore. I think your acct will be sorted out by Nov 25. No need to panic at this point, though I know how it feels and it is hard not to.

i’m ok. with regards to the IP that i’ve used, most singapore people uses Singnet or SCV maxonline, its very easy to get reused IP by different people. Guess I’ll invest on a proxy soon, its very demoralising that they’re doing this.

Thanks for your info HighRoller! :)

Rather than a proxy, I would purchase a static IP. On the one hand, if you are ever downloading anything you shouldn’t it makes things dangerous, but if you run a clean system then it lets people know who you are. In Australia a static IP costs an extra $10. In Japan, it is more complicated to get one, mainly because my mastery of the Japanese language is rather poor.

The next two days are surfing holidays anyway. I will keep logging on to 12 DP and put any news your way.

“Singaporean Suspensions / IP ban Update - by Charis - 12DP Admin at 2005-11-25 14:21:44

As you know, we recently had to block members using certain IP address ranges in Singapore. This was done due to a referral scam ring we found in the program system and a subsequent account hack attempts by individuals within the same IP range.

We made the block and also suspended the accounts and pending withdrawals of members in those IP ranges in order to protect all of your accounts from being hacked as well as prevent any more loss of program funds due to these scammers.

Yes, we are aware that Singapore has a limited number of IP addresses and thus many users may share the same IP range in this particular country. Please understand that many scammers, knowing it will be hard to determine their exact identity, take advantage of this IP oddity in order to hide their illegal activity. That said, know that our research and determination in this matter is not just based on IP addresses. We have and are still in the process of conducting detailed research on the referrer data associated with these accounts which is where the referral scam evidence is found.

We have determined that in order to solve the current situation and to prevent this kind of issue or problem in the future, the following steps will be taken:

      1. The IP address ranges we blocked will remain permanently blocked and we will accept no new signups from these ranges.

      2. We will finalize our referral data research by Monday, November 28. On that day we will separate the banned and/or suspended members into two categories.

      3. The first category will be users for whom we have evidence have participated in the scam ring. We will send all of these members an email detailing the offenses and explaining why their accounts will remain suspended. Any referral commission earned by the uplines of these members will be nullified.

      4. The second category will be users whom we have determined DID NOT participate in the scam ring. We will send all of these members an email detailing a process by which they can verify their identities. As individuals comply with this process and are verified, they will be individually refunded the initial upgrade fees they paid into the system for any currently ACTIVE upgrades or pending withdrawals. These members will not be paid any associated referral commission nor the 12% daily earnings. After these refunds have been made, these accounts will be permanently closed. Any referral commissions earned by the uplines of these members will be reinstated.

      5. We will be sending both Egold and Stormpay representatives the results of our investigation and proof of the scam ring and which of their members were participants in order to protect ourselves from unfounded claims or malicious retaliation.

      6. We will do additional research into similar IP address ranges in Singapore and any other countries which may cause us future problems and make determinations as to whether or not these ranges should also be blocked. We will make this particular determination by the end of next week.

All current help tickets regarding the matter will be deleted today. All emails sent to us regarding this matter will also be deleted. On Monday we will open a new ticket department which will field questions regarding the final determinations.

This was a complicated and difficult issue to attempt to resolve but we feel that we have made the decision that is best for the program in the long run. These offenders have already taken some of your hard earned money and we refuse to allow them to take anymore.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.”

Not looking too good for you Jude, time to change provider if you want to stay with 12DP. Anyway, if there is anything I can do to help let me know. The good news is you should be able to get your money back.

      Hi all,
Thanks to nobshyip instant messenging me I decided to pop in and have look, glad I did, this is the first i’ve heard about this latest 12dailypro issue. I certainly understand the reasoning behind the blocking of the IP range and I believe they will locate and pay any genuine accounts.
The steps I tend to disagree with though is the permanent blocking of the IP range, this will include many potential investors and I feel sure there would be another way around it. It may take a little longer but if genuine investors of the program want to continue then they should be allowed to do so. That may mean faxing documents and maybe even a telephone conversation to confirm that the person is a genuine participant of the 12dailypro program.
I’m not really the correct person to comment on the singapore IP issue as I have no idea how it’s setup, I just thought i’d bring a point up that others could maybe elaborate on and come up with a solution to put forward to 12dailypro so that the genuine investors who reside in this area can carry on.
Look forward to reading more thoughts on this latest issue.

      Tony :)

      Great news my Singaporean friends…

It looks like you will be able to continue using 12DP after all. You won’t be able to earn referral commissions. So, its not all good, but not that bad either.

      Singaporean Suspensions / IP ban Update - Nov. 26 - by Charis - 12DP Admin at 2005-11-26 22:42:13
After reviewing all relevant data regarding our recent Singaporean IP address issue, listening to the concerns and suggestions of many of the affected members, and weighing all of our options in the matter, I have decided to reverse my earlier decision regarding this matter, which was posted on Friday.

I believe I have arrived at a compromise and a solution that will allow us to properly punish and deal with the referral scam offenders from these IP ranges yet still allow those innocent members in these IP ranges to continue to be a part of our program. Of course, change is necessary to protect us from this kind of scam in the future, but the solution we have settled on has been suggested by many affected members as something they deem fair under the circumstances.

The following is the detailed solution:

      1. Within the currently suspended account of these affected IP ranges, we will only suspend users found to be part of the referral scam or who are found in violation of our single account policy. These members will receive an email by the end of the day on Tuesday, Nov. 29 detailing the reasons for their continued suspension.

      2. Within the currently suspended account of these affected IP ranges, all members found not to fit into one of the above categories will have their accounts unsuspended by the end of the day on Wednesday, November 30. These members will receive an email by the end of the day on Tuesday, Nov. 29 confirming their accounts will be restored.

      3. For members who have their accounts restored, all of your withdrawals which were pending at the time of suspension will be paid by December 2 in no particular order. The withdrawals payments WILL include all 12% daily earnings and all referral commissions.

      4. For members who have their accounts restored and had active upgrades that would have on or after Nov. 24 (the day after the suspension), your withdrawals will be on our normal schedule. The withdrawals payments WILL include all 12% daily earnings and all referral commissions.

      5. When members who have had their accounts restored log back into your accounts, you will find all of your member surf earnings updated as if you were never suspended.

      6. All member accounts in the affected IP ranges will have their referrer number reset to zero.

      7. On Wednesday, November 30 we will remove the block on the affected IP addresses just after accounts are restored.

      8. From Wednesday, November 30 forward, there will be no referral commission earned by any 12daily Pro member from any member originating from one of these affected IP ranges. In addition, any new members who join from these affected IP addresses from Nov. 30 forward will have their referrer automatically set to zero and will be ineligible to earn any referral commissions.

      9. These new policies will be added to the Terms and Conditions.

      10. We will be conducting further research to determine if any other IP ranges put the program at a similar risk and thus may need to fall under this same policy. This determination will be made in the coming weeks.

This situation has helped us learn something very valuable. It is impossible to properly enforce our existing terms of service regarding IP addresses, multiple accounts, and referral commissions in areas of the world which allow mass IP address assignment. So, until we put a more stringent member identity verification procedure in place for all members, a system that limits abuse of our referral commission program is our best defense for protecting our funds and our program from those that would take unfair advantage.

Our goal is to have a more powerful, program-wide member indentity verfication system that will allow us to restore full referral commisson earnings to these affected IP ranges. We hope this won’t be too far in the future. But for now, we ask you to understand and respect the position we are in and the decision that had to be made.

We thank all Singporean members who provided constructive input in this matter and hope that the coming days will bring swift and effective resolution of this matter.

      Thanks

      Charis

I think that the referrals issue might eventually be dropped as well. It is like they had a knee-jerk reaction but are pulling back from it a bit.
