I got this mail from alientrust’s admin.
We experienced some downtime and server errors lastnight due to a hacking attempt. But with the help of the excellent server techs at GoDaddy, we were able to shut them down cold.
We received many emails where people couldn’t log in, those have been solved. If you’re still currently experiencing login problems please take the following steps:
1. delete your temp internet files
2. delete your cookies
3. clear your cache (if seperate from temp int files)
Then try logging in again. If you’re still getting errors:
4. switch browsers and try again
If you still get an error after this, contact us and we’ll investigate.
We’ve also made some changes to harden the code in places and move some of the massive database calls which should help in the strain on the db server.

I recieved this email as well and i was worried. My account is still intact though and i think the admin of Alien Trust handled this downtime very well. It’s always a good sign when the admin emails it’s members to explain downtimes.
