regarding a compromise that has been reached between 12dp with
authorities that will lead to the resolution of this matter and the beginnings
of an accounting and refund process, which will unfortunately likely be a
slow process due to the accounting nightmare created by StormPay’s actions.
A full statement addressing such issues will be made to that affect early
next week.
Thank you for your patience and we are glad that we have been able to
take steps that will help bring this ordeal to a close soon.”

Internet Ponzi Scheme Raked In $50 Million, SEC Says
LOS ANGELES (CN) – Charis Johnson, 33, of North Carolina, has raised more than $50 million from more than 300,000 investors an Internet Ponzi scheme, and has skimmed $1.9 million from it since the summer of 2005, the SEC claims in Federal Court. The agency claims that Johnson, of Charlotte, got the money through her Web-based businesses, LifeClicks and 12daily Pro. She sells 12daily Pro “membership units” as a “paid Autosurf program” whose members allegedly are paid for “viewing the websites owned or promoted by other online professionals.” Suckers can become “upgraded members” for $6 per unit, and the scam is so effective that 12daily Pro “was recently ranked the 352nd most heavily trafficked website on the Internet,” the agency claims.
The SEC says Johnson runs 12daily Pro as “almost a pure Ponzi scheme – at least 95% of the funds 12daily Pro uses to pay returns to upgraded members come from new investments in the form of new or existing members’ upgrade fees.” She promises to pay each “upgraded member” 12 percent of his or her membership fee per day for 12 days, promising a 44 percent profit after 12 days.
“Since mid-2005, the Defendants have raised more than $50 million from more than 300,000 investors nationwide and overseas,” the agency says. “One of the Defendant’s payment processors, StormPay, Inc., currently holds approximately $50 million in investor funds, which it has voluntarily agreed to freeze. The Defendants are seeking to undo the freeze.”
The SEC says Johnson has made “material misrepresentations and omissions in offering and selling the 12daily Pro investment program,” and says “the bank holding Johnson’s account (with the $1.9 million she allegedly skimmed) is unwilling to freeze the funds in the account without a court order.”
The SEC wants defendants’ accounts frozen, documents preserved, accounting, disgorgement with interest, a receiver appointed, and penalties.
At least 6,400 of the “investors” live in California.

Today is March 6, 2006 The 12DP website has not been available for days, what’s going on, we never recieved the posting we were suppose to recieve early last week, someone please give us some answers or atleast some insight to what’s going on. Are we just s–t out of luck or is there still some kind of resolution in store. I never recieved one cent from 12dp, as of now I’m just out of 2070.00, 1998.00 to 12dp, 60.00 to stormpay and 20.00 to netiba.
Tammy, I just want you to know, you might have to accept the fact that your funds will never come back.. I think Charis herself is busy with the suit that she might not at all continue to be as benovelent and have the kind of spirit that she use to have when 12DP is operating strongly.
12DP has bitten the dust, time to move on..
I was just at the work-at-home forum and there was a new posting from Charis, it’s under “sec and 12dp”, she states that she will eventually open a new site that will be approved by the sec. She still maintains that she is working with the sec to aid in a quick resolution and a return of funds. This still gives me hope. I hope that it is not time to move on just yet!
How much did you get stuck in 12DP actually? Don’t mind me asking Tammy. I hope its not a big sum.
I had upgraded for 1998.00 on January 28th I think. I hope to recover it but I knew it was a gamble when I put it in. I had prayed for weeks about finding some kind of home based job on the internet. Thought it was the answer to my prayers, guess not! But atleast I didn’t upgrade for the 4002.00, I tried as hard as I could on the day that stormpay froze their accounts, so God does protect us. It could have been so much worse.
Thank God, hopefully you’re doing well now. It’s time to move on, just treat the 1998 as an experience my friend
