It’s just plain silly and stupid IMO. Well the updates below, so you can’t just send you scanned documents via email now? Small setback?

    30. March 2006 @ 17:13

    Afternoon Everyone,

First of all let me say thanks to all of you who are diligently sending in your verification docs, we are processing them as quickly as we can.

We do have some bad news on 2 fronts - and before I go on, let me express my deepest apologies to those this effects.

First we have a fax machine meltdown yesterday. The fax machine has completely fried, and was receiving docs and not printing them. So it looks like they went through on your end, but all we received was blank pages.

This affected the 11:00AM - 6:00PM (server time) faxes yesterday. So if you faxed in your docs on the 28th and your account is still not showing verified - unfortunately you’ll need to re-send your documents to us. I know this sucks and is a big inconvenience to you and I’m really sorry. There was nothing we could do about the machine breaking down.

We have replaced the machine and additionally added 2 more numbers which you can fax to, so please send your documents to the following fax numbers:

    9AM to 5PM Monday through Friday - 1-940-463-2895

Any times other than business hours please send to either:

    1-940-799-3546 or 1-317-863-0752

Any documents that are unreadable, or duplicates are being shredded - NOT being throw in the trash somewhere, we know you are all concerned about your personal information and it’s security, and all your documents are kept under lock and key here at the office. This is one of the reasons we did not request that you add your SSN or EIN to your profile, we don’t want that information accessible via the web at all.

The second piece of bad news comes in regards to docs submitted via email.

Because each individual scanned doc must be opened and printed, each email takes about 15 minutes to process. If we had the entire staff doing nothing but processing these emails for 10 hours a day we could only process about 200 a day - and we have over 700 of them to do.

Obviously we’ve ceased taking verification docs via email. So please get to a fax and get these faxed in, we can no longer accept any documentation via email.

Once again sorry about the bad news, but this is only a small set back and hopefully won’t affect too many people.

    Thanks.

Jude, I finished reading the announcement right before seeing your post here. It doesn’t contain anything about next week’s payment. In a previous announcement, Vince said that this week’s payments don’t need verification and possible next week’s. Have you seen anything definate about next week’s payments? I asked in the forum, too.

      Thanks,
      Sharon

Not that I know of Sharon, only this week was mentioned, nothing of the next though. You’re thinking about pulling the plug?

Hmmmm….. if I announce in here my intentions, will they get thwarted by Vince? After sleeping on my plans and reading today’s announcement, I’m ready to get out for now. I don’t have easy access to a fax machine and won’t use snail mail. I only have one active upgrade and it’s due next week. I’m hoping that it gets paid without verification. If not, I’ll request a refund and cross my fingers. I’m not ready to delete my account. I’ll be watching what happens, instead.

PS The honorable thing for Vince to do is to pay out all commission for upgrades purchased before the verification announcement and require verification for those puchased on or after the announcement. Will Vince be honorable about this? Time will tell.
