OK, by now everyone’s heard a rumor that StormPay processed some refunds. I personally don’t know anyone that actually got one, though. However, based on the rumor, I decided to see what would happen if I asked them if I could get a refund now. Boy was a surprised at how fast they answered, ‘Yes, it’s OK now.” I got the reply in 1 minute!!

Then the kicker… I actually tried to submit a refund claim. Much to my bemusement, they still have the 45 day requirement for filing claims. Hmmm, didn’t the rumors start right after the 45 day mark????

    I sent them another email. I’m waiting for a reply… waiting … waiting….

You can read my actual emails below, if you’re not bored of the SP Saga….

    Dear Support,

I heard that refunds from accounts frozen by StormPay in late January/early February, except 12DailyPro, are beginning or will begin shortly. I only submitted 1 claim (not 12DP) from that time and it was immediately denied with the standard reply that was being sent to everyone. Is it OK to now submit the claims for the forzen accounts, other than 12DP?

I’ve been waiting to hear the proper method for claiming the payments that I made. I have no chargebacks against StormPay. I actually just opened my StormPay account in late January for the purpose of starting AutoSurfs and HYIPs. All of my funds were 100% loss for me, due to freezing accounts.

    Thank you,
    Sharon

    Hello ,

Yes, it is ok now and you will need to submit a claim to request a refund for any other autosurf/hyip site besides 12DailyPro. As you are probably aware, based upon recent filings by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Thomas Lennon, a court appointed receiver, is now in control of all assets of 12Daily Pro. An injunction has also been issued by the court in this matter. The Receiver now has a website available to post communications to you at http://www.tlennonfor12dailypro.com/. As stated on the referenced site, “[t]he Receiver’s job, in addition to investigating the activities of 12Daily Pro, is to gather the remaining assets of 12Daily Pro and Lifeclicks, and equitably distribute those assets to investors and claimants. The Permanent Injunction has the effect of freezing those assets and prohibiting anyone, including investors, from attempting to obtain those assets. More specifically, the Permanent Injunction, prohibits all actions against 12Daily Pro and any assets of 12Daily Pro. This prohibition is extremely broad and explicitly prohibits efforts by 12Daily Pro members from enforcing claims through self-help, such as initiating credit card charge backs, or reversing electronic fund transfers. See the Permanent Injunction at ¶ X. This is a serious matter and anyone with actual knowledge of the Permanent Injunction that takes any of the prohibited actions may be found in contempt of Court, with the resulting consequences. Moreover, the actual chargeback will likely not be allowed to stand, if initiated after the Permanent Injunction was issued.”

Please visit Mr. Lennon’s website for the latest information on the case status.

    Dear Support,

A few minutes ago I asked if it was finally OK to submit tickets for programs that were frozen in January/February (other than 12DailyPro). I received a reply back very quickly! Thank you!! The reply was “Yes, it is ok now and you will need to submit a claim to request a refund for any other autosurf/hyip site besides 12DailyPro. “, followed by instructions for 12DailyPro.

I then went to the claims section and tried to submit a claim. I am receiving an error that the claim is more than 45 days old. I understand the normal program protection and was aware of the time limit. However, I followed information to not submit any more tickets (I submitted 1 ticket.) during the major activity. Now that I received the OK to submit the tickets. How do I accomplish the submission? I had 4 purchases between 1/24/06 and 1/30/06.

    Thank you,
    Sharon

The dates of the emails were before their announcement that they were only going to be an auction site. In case you missed that story, read it here. Note the times of the emails. See anything strange? I sent the 1st one at 9:08 AM and they replied at 9:09 AM. By the time that I sent the 2nd one at 9:27 AM they were too busy to answer. To date, I still have no answer.

I know that SP is old news, but I thought you all might get a kick out of my feeble attempt at a refund. LOL

Does this mean they are going to unfrozen the accounts of other autosurfs or are they taking the $$$ from those autosurfs and issue refund themselves? If yes, this is thieving as there is no court injunction against the other autosurfs at the moment.

No, they aren’t going to unfreeze accounts as far as I know. In fact, they are now no longer a payment processor. Read http://hyipblog.nobshyip.net/2006/03/24/stormpay-only-dealing-with-stormpay-auction-now/.

I agree that I think it’s theft on their part. I’ve no idea what is going to happen. But, rest assured that if/when something does happen, you’ll be able to read about here!

I received an email from a reader today that had tried the same thing I did. First email to ask about refunds and second one to ask about how to do a refund since 45 days have elapsed. He got the same results! The first email was responded to promptly. The second emails is waiting since MARCH 16th!!

So, did I ever really believe they’d respond to a question about how to do what they said it was OK to do? Not really, but then again, if you don’t ask, then it is definate.

StormPay refunded my initial investment in 12dp.

WOW Wisernow!! Care to share any details, like when you purchased, when they refunded, was it a small, medium, or big amount, anything that would help others?

      I purchased 12DP 1 time on January 23rd. I haven’t received a penny back.

      Thanks,
      Sharon
