    May 26th 2006

A claim procedure for EMO has been established as of May 17, 2006. The court order for the claim procedure can be read here.

    To sum it up:

    1. Claims will be grouped into three categories:
      • Category A for those with claims less than or equal to $5,000.00 and those that request to be part of Category A. Category A claimants will not have to provide proof of identity and ownership.
      • Category B for those with claims greater than $5,000.00. Category B claimants will have to provide proof of identity and ownership. They may opt to cap the claim at $5000 and be part of Category A.
      • Category C for those with funds received by EMO on or after March 10, 2006. Category C claimants will have to provide proof of identity and ownership. They may opt to cap the claim at $5000 and be part of Category A.
    2. All claimants will receive an email explaining the procedure. Category B and Category C claimants will have a claim form attached. They will have 60 days to provide the information required in the claim form. Category A claimants do not have to reply.
    3. You will be able to log in and review your EMO balance prior to submitting any information for a claim.
    4. Just because you have a claim amount, it doesn’t mean you’re going to get that amount. They will use the total of claims to determine a percentage. The percentage won’t be known until all claim information has been received. So, in about 2 months from now, they’ll figure out what percentage you’re going to get.

I have not received an email about my EMO account, yet. However, from the dates in the document, it looks like they are going to send out the notifications in May. Keep looking for this important email. Check your spam/junk email folders daily.

Thanks for the important update Sharon, now WiredSurf’s tied up funds could be recovered at last.

My funds have been generating income thanks to them (Wired) and lets hope everyone gets back a piece in EMO.
