I just read on ND’s forum that they will stop e-gold payouts after July 18th. So I’m pulling out of this one… it’s too bad, they looked like they might have been a good one.
Yeah, that’s too bad.
I still prefer egold..
may be I need to start make vmcard.
I’m getting a vmcard to see how good it is. I love Egold and really wish they wont take the option away, but most surfs are going the vm way, I’ll see whether its viable and blog a post on vmcard soon.
Well, this is a risky move, and normally will led to close down of the program.
Just beware.
zamans98, I strongly disagree with your statement, I see VM is a move that insulated the program from uncontrolled factors.
Look at AT, still standing still while others so called big gun fallen one by one.
I’m now mixed whether VM is a good move, but with the fluctuation of gold price, it might be.
Then with VM, we’ll really have to see whether it suffers fate like any other ecurrency with audits and the government.
We’ll see.
Compared to Egold, VM does not has as long a history as Egold. Give it sometime to prove itself. Over the last month or so, more and more surfs are beginning to adopt VM. What I am not too sure is whether Egold will be totally out of most surfs in the future. If that does happen, those who would still like to continue to surf will have to get themselves acquainted with VM. Although Egold has a very long history, it is not protected from fraud. From my understanding, fraud in Egold is pretty high and there is no confirmation that there will be another round of US Government intervention. For those of you who are using VM, my advise is to withdraw your funds regularly and don’t keep it in there. After all, the VM account does have a holding limit unlike Egold.
Personally, having used both Egold and VM, I find that both are equally convenient to use. For VM, I can withdraw my cash as and when I like immediately from any ATM that support Cirrus whereas for Egold, I need to do a out-exchange.
