GIT has ended using E-gold for a payment processor. I’d say its really bullsh*t when it comes to people abandoning E-gold because of security issues.

Usually the case its the end-user who didnt take care of their own sessions with E-gold or responded to fraud phishing emails, else such things wouldn’t have happen.

Due to continuing reports from members of their accounts being hacked, and discrepancies in our own account, we have decided to end our relationship with E-Gold. The amount in our own account discrepancies are minor and will not affect operations in any way, and we are pursuing the matter with E-Gold.

However, we will not accept anymore payments from E-Gold due to these continuing issues and E-Gold’s reluctance to take seriously the incursions to their security and help to alleviate the losses to their clients that have resulted in this lack of security.

This announcement and the ending of using E-Gold for payments are effective as of 3:45 PM EST, 12:45 PM PST.
