I was reading Ken’s HYIPDaily, on the current issues of trusting surf/ hyis monitor sites too much.
It seems the fact, that you could only reference to monitor sites but not to based on them fully. For myself, once in a while I’ll pop by monitor sites to see if there’s anything new and interesting to look at, but I don’t join them just because and based that they have good ratings and all.
I’ve heard of many bad cases that monitor sites promoting heavily on some programs to churn referral fees (let’s see, TAS?) and there’s always a possibility that they’re being paid by the program admins to run heavy campaigns for them to increase their memberships as well before hitting the dust.
The current situation in which Ken monitored on ASA is pretty amazingly, I’m not there to judge, but the bottomline is never trust any sites too much just to join any programs. Always cross reference with many sources before taking a punt/ making a plunge.

I’ve removed all monitor sites from my bookmarks. I also will not vote on any monitor sites. Conflict of interest is rife… some monitor sites expect to get free upgrades in programs, some programs give them as a matter of course. Many programs insist on members voting, and pay them for it (Add-Surf was doing it for a while) and so I find it impossible to believe any ratings on any monitors.
