Uniclear Hits The Brick
Tags: UniClear.Ah, seems like Uniclear is hitting rocks. And it never seems right to have exchange businesses done in the States these days, like the Goldage saga or EMO incident.
An update:
” Some updates on processing capabilities etc.
1. Re Wachovia. On the 31st of August our attorneys will be meeting with the Attorney General of Delaware to discuss the release of funds seized by them. The feeling from our attorney is that this will probably only result in a partial release at this time but for those who had funds tied up in Wachovia we may at that time be able to release some of your money to you.
2. Re Credit card processing. We are very close to hooking up to one of our new merchant accounts in order to once again process credit cards. Our previous processor in the USA has seized all the funds they processed and judging by their claims of fines from their bank etc. because we processed for online pharmacies it looks like we may never recover any funds from them.
3. On the ACH front. We have attempted to close our account to get funds released but have been advised that due to USA law they have to hold the funds for 60 days pending any disputes etc.
What this means is that effectively everything we have processed in the USA one way or another is tied up.
Given the very harsh experiences we have had in the USA we will no longer hold funds or process funds with any USA companies anymore. The Patriot Act and the bank responses in the USA have all gone mad it seems.
MOVING FORWARD:
1. We have established a new bank account in New Zealand that is working very well. This means that we are able to receive bank wires into that account of any amount from anywhere. We are also able to wire funds out from that account anytime. So for NEW DEPOSITS into that account there will be no delays or problems whatsoever. If you need wire instructions please contact accounting@uniclear.com
2. We have also established a bank account in Russia – don’t let the propaganda that Russia can’t be trusted blind you on this one. We have personally visited Russia and know very well the people and bank we are working with there. We also established a company in Russia to manage the account – Linda Corporation – see details in the previous postings. This is a reliable bank and again we can receive inbound wires from anywhere of any amount to this account and can wire funds of any amount anywhere in the world from this account – no delays or restrictions. Wire instructions for this account are posted on our website.
3. We have established a relationship with a bank in the Philippines to process, Visa, MasterCard and JCB credit cards. We are at the final stages of hooking up the software to process which we hope will be operational within days now.
4. We have also, through our partners overseas, established a connection with Visa to process directly and hope to have a similar connection to MasterCard shortly. These will be processed through the UK.
5. Due to the stupid regulations on ACH we will no longer be offering that option of funding or withdrawing funds.
6. Debit Cards. Funding debit cards will once again be available BUT ONLY FOR NEW DEPOSITS TO THE NEW ZEALAND ACCOUNT. If you already have funds in UniClear it is tied up in one or several of the systems mentioned above. Please bear in mind that we have to transfer funds from the New Zealand account to our debit card settlement account in Canada so please allow a few days from the time of your request to load your card.
We trust we will soon be able to put the mess with the USA behind us and move forward. Thanks for your understanding and continued support.
