Hey all,
Our blog has been around for close to two years, and we’ve been here since the aweful orange layout that we use to have to this current one that I have put much effort on.
Much as anticipated, our readers are growing steadily and I’m proud to say we might be one of the most watched blog for HYIP
news (I’m not ashamed to say this, but you who are reading this now definitely makes up one of the very important people that has contributed here by keeping with or even contributing news to us).
A poll has been established on the left, and I earnestly would like feedbacks on the loading speed of the site. There are many instances that some of our readers has to load it twice or three times before getting in, and I will want to fix (Yep, we’ll stick to K.I.S.S - Keep It Simple, Stupid) that.
Always, from readers, to readers ![]()

One Problem already seems to be solved.
by the way, what is streambuild.com trying to show?
Those “Avatars” that showed up next to the writers name often took very long to load but i cannot see them anymore
Keep up the nice work ^^
Yes, sometimes it’s too slow, But I think it is because your blog is a favorite one…..:)
Oh, streambuild is actually a domain of mine which is running the adserve, that shouldn’t happen once we ported it over to a new one.
For the gravatars, we can’t really help since it’s a service from gravatar.com, but we’ll see what we can do.
Thanks Hect2k
and thank you Gunawan, we’ll K.I.S.S on our next version, code optimisation time
The site is much faster than it used to be… I could hardly believe my eyes. This is the first time I have experienced “fast” here, so I voted “slow” overall. Perhaps I should have voted “average”…oops.
When I was first having trouble accessing the site, I thought perhaps it was the theme you were using here, but now that doesnt seem to be an issue. Have you moved to a new server?
Not really kyte, the server is the same one. Maybe it’s the version upgrade from Wordpress that fixed most of the speed hogging that we used to experience.
The theme is done up by me and no one should have the exact same kind as well, will be porting to a new one though if I can afford the time
Good to see you around!
Most times my browser fails to resolve the name and i have to refresh a few times to load the site.
can I check your locality, as well as the browser you use and the connection speed you have jose?
It works fast for me.
This is only me, but you could move majority of the nobs links on the right hand side to categories in the top bar, althought keeping “latest” is nice to have still (how many are actually using the flickr part?).
This will make the page more clean and faster to load.
Noted your suggestion whizzer, anyone seconds him?
Dear Jude,
Some practical ideas.
Your HTML source code looks structurally correct, but it contains a lot of leftover spaces, and linefeeds in it. Perhaps you can put it through HTML Shrinker Lite, a free program to size down the HTML code. (link: http://www.downloadjunction.com/product/store/1719/index.html)
Also, your images may be sized down by using lossy JPG instead of PNG. Just depends how much image quality you want to sacrifice.
Kind greetings,
Joachim.
site loads fine for me. thank you for keeping it up to date and sharing your knowledge with us.
The site never loads for the first try. I always have to refresh it to see it appear, but for me it’s no problem, because the content and the advice are worth hitting the refresh button. I use firefox as browser and I have a decent connection speed. Perhaps this might be, because of my location (Central-Europe).
hi spirited and hyipgnome, thank you for the kind words.
spirited:
when you do a reload on the second try, does it load at a decent speed for you? or its slow?
Hey Jude!
At home I’m on DSL and sometimes the website won’t show up at certain hours. I have to try to open it later (sometimes it works a few minutes after I try).
When I try it at school (which has a T1 line I think), it always loads correctly.
I think that those that are on slower lines have more problems with your website.
For the 2nd time, the speed is normal.
I was actually wondering why nobsh had so many down times…? Particularly on weekends I could never visit.

Perhaps too heavy traffic !…?
So I ended up to read from RSS feeds, which works charmingly btw.
I came visiting today as spotted A $10 Lol and just to see how my Opera would be rejected again… and guess what, it loaded straight away! No traffic today then, huh?
Or have you already done something about it?
Well I haven’t got a clue about tech so no suggestion nor $ … never mind, congrats two years, well done! Keep up the good work with KISS, Jude
yohoo psyko
I’ll take a good look at the site loading for lower speeds to ensure nothing is wrong.
Want a link up to your site?
yuko,
lol! thanks and duely noted, any suggestions so you could win the $10?
I’m from Brazil, i use firefox mostly and i have a DSL connection.
Jude,
Loading here is as fast as lightning (as always). So there has never been any problem so far
hey jude,I really don’t know if you have slow site, it’s very fast from here:)
Sometimes I’ll get a “page cannot be loaded” (something like that) so I’ll try a few minutes later … I’m usually accessing this site when I’m surfing so don’t know if that’s a high traffic time for you guys?
As far as load speed, it’s usually mighty quick for me …
Love this place ..i check it several times a day … wish there were more articles
.. and maybe some more spotlight interviews or articles on admins, bloggers, etc …
Dolphin
For me it was never a problem to load your site, its fast from here (Germany). Could be that because of the timeshift I’m not online when the heavy traffic comes to your site.
PLEEEEEASE don’t change the color theme of the site! Its superior in my opinion.
Well, what could you do to enhance your site? I don’t know… its good like it is.
Keep in mind that overoptimizing of something can have a bad result in the end.
Hi Jude,
The website does not load for me from time to time (I’m in Australia on DSL). I usually find that it opens fine late at night for me, however today it is working perfect and it is in the morning. It has been getting better of late though. I’m not sure if this is a DNS problem during the day for me or if it’s a server issue.
Apart from that, the look of the site is great and the regular updating with useful information is excellent. Keep up the good work!
The site loads quite quickly——as you and I are invested in many of the same programs, I am looking forward to your comments, questions, and insights throughout the coming year.
Occassionally, I’ll have to reload a few times to get the site to come up but when it does it’s passingly fast compared to other similar sites.
Hey jude you still owe me in WC2006.

I vote slow, I dont know why. Just too slow for me to load it. Slow to everage but generally was slow.
I still owe you thiec? Not quite possible as I’ve paid everyone who won I’m pretty sure
What can also delay the loading of the page is the banners as they reside on a different server (steambuild.com)… my experience is that these banner sites are usually pretty loaded and can slow down your site quite a lot.
I’ll look onto that and bring it over, thanks for the suggestion whizzer
And I’m still looking at your suggestion as well! Seems like no one’s fighting the $10 with ye! lol
hi,
Site is loading fine.
suggestion:
A little forum would be nice; like http://forum-navigator.com/forum/showforum.php?id=18 (comments on newsletter and other stuff)
- archive year month
2006
november
oktober
september
etc…
regards,
fred, we’re part of DTM, but hey we do have a little forum established as well, and will be releasing to everyone as soon as we’re done with this setup thing. stay tuned!
most times (approx 7 out of 10 times), i need to load twice in order to get the site up. i like your site - informative and up-to-date, the colours are just great, the placement/layout is fine, not too cluttered. only little improvement i can think of is in the case of the hyip blogroll, the list is really long, so it will be nice if the list can be in alphabetical order.
HI, I have a suggestion to improve the site. I would like to see some instructions on how to take advantage of RSS feeds, I’ve searched the web for info but I haven’t come across any guide that will take you step by step in an easy to understand (non-technical) manner. Everything I’ve come across is confusing and mostly in techno-babble. Maybe even just a link to such a guide if it’s already avaiable would be great. Otherwise I have no problems with the site and enjoy reading the periodic updates.
There is exactly where we’re going to focus on next as well Goldwarrior, thanks for suggesting. I do have an RSS guide with Google’s Reader, but I think we’ll do more extensive guide to how to feed them.
Thank you for the suggestion!
(Off-topic)
JFYI re: RSS
One of default features of Opera is RSS feeds. You get a Feeds button in your address bar when you subscribe (with one click) RSS at a website for the first time. Opera has built-in Feeds; a very simple almost boring but I can read update instantly. For more info:
http://help.opera.com/Windows/9.02/en/feeds.html
Firefox is popular but personally I’m Opera fan; find it more useful.
I agree with you Yuko. I’m a big Opera fan too. Just installed 9.10 Beta with the anti-fraud features. Just starting to test them but if it’s as solid as other Opera features, should be very helpful!
Oh, and the site seems to be taking a fair amount of time to finish loading right now.
I visit this site almost daily and it has always been fast and never failed to load. (US CST) I have the RSS feed on my Google home page and it is great! So, I love that feature.
I only ask you keep it readable like it is now. I see too many sites with dark backgrounds and light type… did they not look up one usability site. (sorry, my little rant)
Of course you mentioned it already… KISS.
It’s fast using Firefox 2.0 and my home DSL connection
just some suggestion :
1. Add email to friend link
2. Add RSS for each entry
3. no needs noobs flickr, more javascript means slow
Interesting
Email to a friend option would be pretty nice, as well as RSS I guess. I’ll try to work it out!
Hi Jude,
After a long&hard thoughts
here are my suggestions…or questions?:
1. Category list…
Have you taken that off, or didn’t show at first place?
I see there is a link under each title but unless you write all articles in one page that are categorised in all categories we don’t know what categories you have … Lol am I making sense?
2. Portfolio…
Would you still, really prefer the page password protected, Jude…?
May be for private programs, but you could arrange only those that way and show others open… makes this blog *even more* friendly I reckon…!
Just my opinion.
3. Translation…
Which is located at the bottom of right bar. I know you (or anyone) couldn’t do anything about it but that cyber translator cannot translate! I mentioned this to js sometime ago. I mean, a lot of guesses are required to figure out what was originally said. If you depend on the translation NoBSh could be a comedy show.
I tried to search a better one but as far as in Japanese, none.
Does it work for other languages?
Maybe I could help when I take early retirement and live on Hyip money - if ever
4. Tracking down previous logs…
I find it difficult to do that when I wonder “and what else has Jude said on this prog ?”.
What I would like to find is the link to the last related article at the bottom of new one so that will go all down to the root eventually.
It doesn’t mean I don’t read regularly it’s all about fading memory Lol
So that was suggestions or pretty personal preferences from a reader
Btw I haven’t seen any “down-time” for a while now; the site loading properly, not too slow either.
Hey yuko,
Thanks for what you brought out! Let me tackle them in the orderly fashion you’ve listed (believe me, you should join us and write from time to time)
1. Category list
This will show if I activate the archive, but it might be tad little untidy, we’ll see what we can do in the new version of our site.
2. Portfolio
I would prefer having the portfolio protected, this is exclusive to our readers here, and I wouldn’t want anyone to follow blindly what I join. Sometimes I might share something that normal HYIP admins wouldn’t like, so yeap, still protected!
3. Translation
I’ll have that taken off. Or maybe find a better translator. Thanks yuko
4. Tracking down previous log
Maybe I should write an FAQ. The search bar works fine when you have anything in mind. If you’re interested in what I write, you can click my name on the article and it’ll bring you all the articles that I have written, likewise to other writers like chancer, mbongwe and the rest of the crew.
Hope this helps! By the way, keep them coming in and if you have further questions to what we have mentioned here, shoot!
Thanks Jude,
I underdstand now your reasons for the protected portfolio page.
Good reasons!
Dug out previous articles by names and by search as per your
I couldn’t disagree with you Lol
suggestion, yes both work fine and yes FAQ can be a good idea for people
who just need getting their heads up like I did! Also on the result pages I could see the “tad little untidy” category list
But seriously, that’s A some history of 2 years !
Our hyipland stretch/shrink every day at every direction, searching back logs would not bring any better picture than staring at a crystal ball anyway, but then history can give a good lesson
And thanks for kindly inviting me! That’s a pleasure for me I just
don’t want to ruin this nice respected community as I’m still far from experienced hyip investor(gambler?) so I’d shoot a comment sometimes; let’s see from there and if I get over “shyness” in public
