Leo, DrunkOnLife Blog, has an excellent tip on hiding your IP address using a proxy server. Since he’s moving his blog soon, I’m going to copy the post here:
This said, there are ways to protect yourself (and your ip address). Two words- Proxy servers. What are proxy servers? Well, quite simply, they are sites that you can go to to surf using their IP address (not yours). The downside is that if you aren’t paying for the service, some proxy sites can be slow. One that I use quite often is megaproxy. Simply go to the site and type in where you want to go. You can surf anonymously any site that you wish. I have actually used it for 24dailypro (since my ip address has been blocked- nice try, Will). If you think that your IP address is being tracked or you would just prefer to remain anonymous, give it a try. Don’t like it? Google “anonymizer”. You will find a ton of them there.
DrunkOnLife is a top-notch blog, which should be read daily by all HYIP/Autosurf players. Leo also has a forum, NPGForum, worth checking out. Thank you, Leo!
(Please note that because of the move, the link to his blog in this article may not work in the future.)

http://www.privax.us is another good free website that provides surfing through proxies.
I use it to access websites that are blocked at school (like YouTube)
Hello,
the best is tor privoxy if you want to hide your IP and surf totally anonymous: http://tor.eff.org/index.html.en (please read about this network).
You can also add a plugin to firefox and everytime you want to surf through these proxies you only have to click on the icon, or leave it disconnected.
Many people think that using a method like this one could be with bad intentions to hide the real identity (as some Hyip Admins) but that’s not totally true, although I think that most of them use it.
When you surf the web you are giving a lot of data about your browser, location, etc… and also many spammers are tracing you, then you will receive a lot of spam. It’s more secure using a proxy nowadays.
IF you want to go faster than tor privoxy, I recommend you to pay one proxie, sometimes I use safersurf, i like it:

Thank you both! More recommended options is great. Keep ‘em coming, folks!

do you know what free proxy is safe to use ? I mean write your ids and passwords opnening sites through this proxys could be dangerous ?
Thanks
GRestrepo
HI GRestrepo,
Stick with the proxies that are recommended and you should be OK.
Here’s some safety tips for you:
I highly recommend Roboform for generating passwords and for saving and entering login information from an encrypted file. Firefox (and I think Opera) has a built-in password saver. Stay away from IE for everything.

There are bloggers worthy of being read: This blog, Leo, Netzen, and Vee are my personal favorites.
I don’t always agree, but that isn’t in the rules. I do welcome the challenge to make me think outside the box.
Annie
Thank you for your kind words, Annie! I read Leo, Netzen and Mrs. Vee, too. I also read Dolphin’s Wink and PonziScams daily and HYWD.info weekly.
There are ~10 others that I read regularly, but those are the best ones, IMO! Some of the others are really good, too, but there is about a 50/50 chance I’ll disagree with them.

Sharon
IMO it’s better to use a “no free” service when proxies are involved….The Open SSL (and not Open VPN) by Findnot is a good one with 31 different servers for less than 10$ monthly. You can associate it with TOR if needed.
My read blogs everyday for information.
My favorites: Leo is at the top; he is always very fair and clear. Others: JS, Netzen, Vee, LSG, Sam, BillyT, Trademarked, Firm, Ponziscam, Paipals and of course noBS. Some of them are quite entertaining.
I think: The people You all fear havent enough power to do something with your IP, those who really want to track you (authorities for example) will be able to get you even when using a proxy ^^
Anonymity in the Internet - lol
Hecht2k: that´s true in the most of proxies but not with tor.
