WOW! I knew that Registerfly was in serious trouble when I wrote my first article about them. ICANN made it official on Friday, March 16, 2007. Registerfly is no longer accredited to do domain registrations.
I thought about writing a long post describing what has all happened, but others have it written much better. In addition the following links have advice on what to do if you own a domain name, which is/was registered by Registerfly.

Sites:
- Registerflies – A one year old forum devoted to helping those caught in Registerfly’s web.
- Registerflea – Site created by disgruntled ex-Registerfly Employees and devoted to news about and help for the fiasco.
This is an excerpt from Registerflea’s home page:
Registerfly.com is a parasite upon the internet.
Registerflea is dedicated to providing information to existing Registerfly customers to try and help them transfer their domains out to another registrar. We also serve as a warning to anyone who may be considering doing business with Registerfly. Registerfly is now in the middle of a complete corporate meltdown due to the infighting between Kevin Medina, Glenn Stansbury, and John Naruszewicz. As usual, money and power are the prime motivators. With a twist. The court papers available for viewing here make for a real life soap opera drama. Registerfly’s continued failure to provide even minimal service is leading to economic damage on an untold scale to domain holders all over the web. And as usual, professional cybersquatters are reaping the benefits.
Good luck to anyone reading this that is stuck in the middle of this meltdown!

“Registerflea – Site created by disgruntled ex-Registerfly Employees and devoted to news about and help for the fiasco.”
This descritpion is not accurate. The site has nothing to do with any ex-RegisterFly employees. I run the site and have since day one. And as far as I’m aware none of the users who have joined up are current or ex-employees either.
HI Samson,
Thank you for clarifying that! I got the impression that it was run by ex-employees due to the information that was briefly on Registerfly’s home page.
I enjoyed reading the saga on Registerflea. (And love the name, it’s halarious!) Quite a story there. It sounds like it should be mini-series on Fox. I’m really glad you stopped by here.
Thank you,
Sharon
