Here are the stats as of today:

% of Total Browser Family/Versions
53% Firefox

42% Internet Explorer

2% Opera

2% Safari

<1% Mozilla

<1% Netscape

<1% Unknown

<1% Konqueror

<1% Camino

<1% Crawler/Search Engine

<1% Lynx

<1% AppleWebKit (Generic)

<1% Galeon

<1% AvantGo

It's interesting to note that the once giant Netscape is less than 1%. There was a time not too many years ago that the popularity of Netscape was bigger than IE and came standard on all PCs.

46% of the readers are still using IE and risking their computers and accounts, like egold (keylogging, hidden look-alike sites, etc.). The other 1 percent uses other browsers, like Opera, so they are as safe as FF.

If you're reading this and you're one of those still using IE, what are you waiting for? Why haven't you switched to another browser? Not only is FF safer, it's much faster and you can customize it with a ton of optional add-ons.

If you think it's a pain to switch browsers, it's more of a pain to get rid of trojans and viruses. It's also more of a pain to have your e-gold account drained. Making the switch is a snap, because you can import your favorites and once you download the add-on, roboform automatically has your passwords available.

So 47% of the readers DON'T use Firefox - that's the part that surprises me, I didn't realize the number of non FF-users was so huge *_*
