An email was despatched by me to the contact form via E-gold to seek an interview with Dr. Douglas, E-gold. The PR department replied,

    E-gold

We’re a concerned community and avid supporters of E-gold. Is it possible for us to seek an email interview with Dr. Douglas to share with our community readers at http://hyipblog.nobshyip.net/ ?

is all we know about “hyip,” so I doubt he’d be interested.

Do let us know, as we’re generally concerned about E-gold, and its future.

http://www.e-gold.com/letter3.html says really all he has to say, but people don’t seem to want to either read it or click on the links in it.

I understand that Dr. Douglas is a busy man and especially with the current situation E-gold is facing, he might turn this down, but we would like to hear from him and would appreciate it very much if this gets forwarded to him.

I will ask him for you. Please tell your members about the link(s) above, thanks.

    Thank you very much,
    Jude

tsk tsk, I don’t think they really like us.

Yea, and they know more then half of their business is from “hyip” LOL

      Right…

      Yea I agree with Dan.

Maybe they are against HYIPs but we are still their customers and they should treat us with respect.

I didn’t say treat HYIPs with respect. Almost all are ponzis.

But they shouldn’t act stupid about it.

      Regards,
      Dan

I completely disagree with the ‘mainstream’ definition of an HYIP.

HYIP stands for High Yield Investment Program.

As far as I’m concerned, anything that is high yielding could be classifed as an ‘HYIP’ - even some hedge funds, managed forex accounts, etc.

HYIP shouldn’t be equated to scams, even though I know most of what people call “HYIPs” out there are indeed scams.

Also.. he may not like to hear ” I told you so” from many of us who gave him a good heads up to go offshore to the US right before all this came down.. arrogance will get them nowhere, and has cost millions in losses to innocent people and exchangers and especially 1MDC account holders. shame!!!! He was certainly warned what the US had in mind, and they will get their way by any back door means and with no due process of law.
Egold was warned! The actions and consequences speak for themselves.
Let’s see what happens from here.

Arrogance bought them down eh Sophie? LOL

If only they had been smart enought to consult people who can confidently state a businesses best move without a shred of first hand knowledge about it. ;-)

And btw… Why should someone wanting to run a legal business in the US be forced to flee offshore? I’m glad they stayed… the more companies with enough backbone to stand up to authorities, the less thay will be ABLE to act with a sledgehammer as you seem to think is par for the course in the USA.

Ahh HYIP Hound, you are a prime example of the phrase “ignorance is bliss” *wink.

Wake up and find out just how many legit businesses move completely outside the jurisdiction of the good ole US of A for their own protection from a confiscatory rogue govt. No one can protect themselves when Due Process of Law can be side stepped with only a presumption of guilt of some “hot button” activity.
