e-goldBack in May, I wrote an article “Who’s Still Alive? 20 E-gold Agent Profiles“. This piece can be considered a follow up to that post.

One angle I’d like to explore, is just how much of e-gold’s business ‘jumped ship’ when they hit the wall. Are they fading away into the distant sunset? One way to calibrate their market acceptance might be to take a close look at who, if anyone, is still acting as an exchange agent for e-gold digital currency.

Are there any exchange providers that still accept e-gold or did the government’s indictment act as a deterrent to their daily business? Ron O’Brien, a senior security analyst at Sophos said in an interview, “But we’ll have to see if [this indictment] serves as a deterrent.” *

Well, open your peepers and let’s take a look.

E-gold exchange providers around the globe, with the exception of about ten, are all still actively providing exchange service for their clients. Even some of the larger agents which had their e-gold funds seized by the government, have just opened new e-gold accounts and are doing business today.

“In Doug We Trust” Who is still exchanging e-gold?

London Gold Exchange - Still strong! Debbie from LGE just confirmed with me inexchange (buy) for just 4% and outexchange (sell) fees are showing on their web as the low price of just 5%. What can I say about LGE that their web does not already tell us:

“In six years the London Gold Exchange has evolved into the Digital Gold and Silver provider of choice for thousands of happy customer’s world wide. Strategically placed with offices around the world, we are ideally positioned to enhance our reputation as the No.1 Digital Gold and Silver provider.”

Ice Gold - Alive but moving a bit slower today. They are accepting e-gold outexchange (selling) but its on a limited basis as they need it. “…we have set a limit of 10,000 USD (or equivalent) per customer in one day.” You can also buy e-gold from them for a 2% fee. International bank wires or local Estonia wire transfers are accepted. If you speak German, you can read the recent interview Paul Vahur gave to a liberty.li magazine regarding e-gold and the US actions.

AnyGoldNow - From their web, they appear to be alive and kicking. I just visited and their forms are working to process in and outexchanges. I will assume that means they are still active in the e-gold business. Their web shows, to buy e-gold, you will only pay between 1.25% and 2%. If you would like to sell, your outexchange fees will be 4%-7%. That is not too bad for Patrick’s quality service. AnyGoldNow features same day exchanges and trades e-gold, e-Bullion, Pecunix, C-gold & Phoenix Silver. Here is a new c-gold agent!

EuroGoldSales - Still exchanging e-gold. Like other agents, their rates vary. Sell them e-gold today you would be paying 6% in fees

GoldNow - Still operating at 100%. Graham reports that orders are strong. GoldNow also accepts credit cards and is offers GoldNowBanc GoldGrams and Loom Gold. e-gold exchange rates seem constant at 5%.

EuroGoldFrance - No big e-gold changes here either– today, just as before the indictment, users can buy & sell e-gold en Francais. Great service and competitive rates (sell to them at 4%-7%).

EuroGoldExchanges - e-gold for Non-US customers ONLY. Also available e-Bullion, c-gold and Pecunix. The French language version is also available at EuroGoldEchangers.com

e-ForexGold - Still strong with e-gold exchanges. Inexchange orders of $5000 usd and less will cost you 3% over spot price. When selling to them, they are only charging approximately 4-4.5% on the sell, this also depends on how much your order actually is….for $50k+ its just 2.5% e-ForexGold also offers a handy ATM debit card which works for fast e-gold outexchanges.

Cambist.net - Their web site appears to still be accepting both in and outexchange e-gold digital currency orders. Wire transfer only. Their buy fees are extremely low between 2% and 3% for any amount large or small. On an outexchange, they are charging fees of 20%. Yes, sell e-gold to Cambist.net and receive national currency of just $8 for every $10 you spend, but that’s what they are now calling ‘business risk’. Technically, with gold bars in the vault backing each digital dollar, there is no big risk to own e-gold.

OmniPay/OmniPay Africa - Not operating yet. We are still awaiting more information about a business arrangement with OmniPay Africa. No further information is available. I’d like to wish them the best, and a speedy recovery from this headache. Through the rumor mill, we hear that if you were doing business with OmniPay (US) as an exchange agent, you may be getting some forms in the mail soon regarding MSB regulations. (of course that is just a rumor)

Me-gold.com - Still alive and doing great business. Their web quotes e-gold exchange rates that are a bit higher than the norm, however I assume that is attempting to compensating for business risk. Buy, sell or exchange e-gold at Me-gold. This group, who’s company is operating out of Dubai, provides excellent and fast service. They also exchange: Webmoney, Pecunix, e-Bullion, Liberty Reserve and I also see PayPal on their web page. Sell e-gold to them today for an international bank wire or a Western Union payment. Buy e-gold for about 2% over spot, sell e-gold and you will rack up a fee of between 15 and 20% on the way out.

AutoCambist - Being billed as the largest and most reputable automated exchanger in the world has its advantages and they will gladly exchange e-gold on your behalf.

PaysGold - Buy or sell e-gold here, no problem. Inexchange at 2% but outexchange is currently 20%. Located in Jinan City, China, they also offer an awesome pre-paid UNIONPAY ATM card solution that works for ATM withdrawals in around two dozen countries around the globe. That card is just $25 in e-gold or Pecunix.

GoldEx - Yes they are transacting in e-gold. There is just a 6% fee on outexchange (selling) of e-gold. To buy from GoldEx they are asking for around 3.5%. Note that their web site lists Credit Card’s as a method of payment when making an inexchange, that fee is a bit higher at 15%, not sure if they are still accepting CC’s or not. GoldEx also is one of the few DGC businesses that still offers a US based ATM card for outexchange to ATM cash. Its on the Visa Plus network and will cost you $50. Their web site seems a bit out of date also so please write me if I have it wrong.

AsianaGold.com - Cash to e-gold, no problem for Asian customers. Buy e-gold at spot plus 5%, sell e-gold at a cost of 20%. Selling $1000, receive $800, no bargain there but again….business risk! Also exchanges Liberty Reserve.

Nanaimogold - Buy and Sell e-gold for a low 4% rate. Also exchanges Pecunix, e-gold, e-Bullion, e-dinar, Liberty Reserve, WebMoney and even c-gold.

TheGoldShop.biz - Still strong and accepting cash deposits in Malaysia, India, Singapore, the Philippines and Canada. Buy e-gold from them today and pay just 4% over spot. If you are selling e-gold to them, “…please expect delays of at least 8 business days in processing of EGOLD SELL ORDERS as well as higher than normal exchange fees”

ElectrumX - Yes, alive and well. In fact from their web today, “**We Need Egold**” They also accept credit cards for inexchange.

Vertoro - Quality e-gold inexchange provider.

Xgold.ca - Mr. Sylvain Falardeau from Xgold.ca who did a great interview earlier this year, will be happy to exchange e-gold for you. He will buy for 5% and sell to you at 1.5%

ROBOXchange - Yes, still transacting in e-gold.

GetEMoney - Still is operation and offering competitive rates. Inexchange (buy) from them at a cost of about 2.5%. Outexchange (sell) to them for an approximate fee of 6.3%.

MegaExchange.ru - Russian language automatic exchange web business. Accepts e-gold for exchange.

Better-X-Changers - Up and running in Canada providing a wide range of payment options including: Local and International Bank Wire, Bank Draft or Money Order, Postal Money Order, Company Check, Bank Cash Deposit, Email Money Transfer (EMT), Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Western Union, MoneyGram and PayPal. Sell e-gold for about 11%, inexchange or buy from them at 4.5%

Fidex Group (e-fidex) - While there web seems to be accepting both e-gold in and outexchanges, no confirmation on if that is the case. They were never ones to keep their web ’space’ constantly updated so I’m just not sure if they are still buying e-gold or not. It appears yes. Please visit their web and give me your impression as I have not heard back from them.

JrExchange - Located in Singapore with customer worldwide, this operation is glad to accept your e-gold exchanges. Their rates will depend on the client’s location and membership standing and the fees can range from 1% - 15%.

Incremental Gold - Yes, they still buy, sell and even exchange e-gold. Sell e-gold at a cost of 6% and purchase e-gold (inexchange). Buy e-gold with a wire or Western Union for 3-5%. From their web, “Please note that we operate with e-gold (sell and buy) but each outexchange takes 4-10 business days to process.”

Exchange.lv - Online exchange accepting e-gold no problem.

All Business Gold - Appears to be up and running with no ‘warnings’ posted. Rates show on their web site as 5% - 17%.

E Buy Gold - You can currently buy e-gold from this Hong Kong agent, however they are not accepting sell orders.

Bank2Gold - Exchange provider in Singapore. Buy or sell e-gold here.

Wyngold - Buy or Sell e-gold no problems here. Singapore’s first 24/7 e-gold exchanger.

Evogates - Buy or Sell e-gold. Agent located in Malaysia.

Goldarea.net - Web site appears to be in business. Buy or Sell e-gold here.

ePayNigeria.com - Open for business, both buy and selling of e-gold.

GoldNairaExchange - Buy and Sell e-gold, “…that e-gold funding henceforth will be completed within 2 - 5 business days.”

Ecurrenz - Here you can swap e-gold for Linden Dollars from Second Life. E-gold accepted here no problem.

GoldAge Israel - Israel’s first e-gold exchange agent.

GoldKOBO - This is an exchange provider for Nigerian residents only and it appears to be operating just fine. Buy and sell e-gold here.

Aegold - Reported by their web site to be accepting credit cards.

PinoyGoldExchange - Accepting buys and sells of e-gold in the Philippines. Some limits on transactions, “Std BUY e-gold maximum is currently set to $50. *Select Premium Service if e-gold to be ordered is above the maximum daily limit. *Std SELL e-gold maximum is currently set to $2000. SELL Orders will be completed in 1-5 business days. ”

    SuperChange.ru - Automatic e-gold exchange

Wannagold - Buy/Sell e-gold thru SMS, Call and YM Chat

Klad.ee - If you can handle their 20% exchange rate, this might be the agent in Estonia you have been looking for…!

Avantumgold - Credit cards accepted among other methods for the exchange of e-gold. Inexchange fees of 6% - 22%. Outexchange (sell your e-gold) as reported by their web site 2% - 5% of a fee.

ExchangeGoldNow - Buy or sell e-gold here.

ExchangesPlus - Buy or sell e-gold here.

United States Electronic Currency Exchange - Buy or sell e-gold at rates ranging from 2.99% - 5.99%

Gold-Thrift - They are still alive and in the exchange business. Fine print….Sell them e-gold when they are accepting it your fee will be just 4%. Buy e-gold with a wire transfer and I believe you will also be paying about 4% over spot but I’m not really sure because they have the worst designed web in the history of the Internet. I half expected a little cartoon man to come walking out shouting “buy gold” when I arrived at their forwarded domain. Be that as it may, it has been about two weeks since they posted news regarding their desire to purchase customer e-gold, “…07.13.07. e-gold out exchanges are suspended due to overstock. We will resume buying e-gold in a few days when we need more.” Like I said, bottom line they are still exchanging which is good news.

JTGold - Exchanger for e-gold in Malaysia

    Zones Web Soluition - (India)

Exchengine - e-gold exchange for all. Buy and sell “…for residents and legal entities registered in Russia, to Russian banks only”.

FastGold.net - Their web site is still online but they are not exchanging anything.

DenverGoldExchange - There nicely designed web is gone and we can only find a white screen with their email address and reading, “Denver Gold Exchange Under Construction”. Their account was one seized by the government’s action so its not clear if they will return or not.

TheBullionExchange - Not currently transacting any business, but not gone either. Their bank account(s) got seized by the government’s actions, I think its now held pending a civil matter relating to their current complaint. You’ll have to check their web for details but its obvious they are optimistic and looking to straighten out this issue:

The allegations contained in the complaint, contend, inter alia, that The Bullion Exchange failed to register, or secure a license to act as a money transmitter (in violation of 31 C.F.R. Section 103.11(uu)(5)(1)); additionally, the complaint contends that The Bullion Exchange failed to obtain a business license in the State of Delaware, violating 5 Del. Code Section 2303. The Bullion Exchange vehemently denies the allegations and has challenged all of the accusations contained in the civil complaint.

Pay By Gold - No word from their camp. The Paybygold web site is so many years out of date, it still has evocash and INTgold listed and those companies have been out of business for years. I’m not sure if Pay By Gold is even still operating or if that is just a dead web site.

    Centregold - No e-gold exchanges.

GoldTotem - e-gold exchange operations seem to be on hold right now. Their web is showing this statement: “We are currently working on our software. Only the clients contacted by email can use this page for the purchase of e-currencies. We apologize for this inconvenience for any new visitor, we cannot fulfill their order during this period.”

Gold Age Agent closed but now the domain is a busy e-currency discussion forum.

GoldPouch Express - While still listed on the e-gold website links page, they are not exchanging e-gold. Their stated reason, “Due to an ongoing investigations between E-Gold.com and the Department of Justice we regret to inform you that we won’t be buying, selling or trading “GOLD” from E-Gold.com at this time!

Agronex Financial - http://www.agronex.lv Web Site Is Gone

    Gold-Cash.biz - http://www.gold-cash.biz Web Site Is Gone

SpaceGold - http://www.spacegold.com Web Site Is Gone

Gitgold - http://www.gitgold.com Web Site Is Gone

While I am sure there are dozens of other agents not listed here but still operating today, this sample represents a very good cross section of all larger operations. E-gold exchange agents are looking very strong right now. The rates have changed to fit the market and the methods of payment accepted have narrowed, but a very healthy third party independent exchange market is still operating today.

There is an old industry saying which goes like this, “In Gold We Trust”. However, months after the government announced this criminal case against e-gold, that old jingle seems to have changed……some are now writing it as, “In Doug We Trust”.

–>www.paybygold.com is owned by Marco, the same person who runs goldex.

    3. Gravatar Icon 3 makila

And as you know….Marco is a bussy man. He is not the best responsive guy. Better contact him at talkgold or at ICQ if you need to talk to him for a second :) I am wondering why he even keeps the website up, as he already has his hands full with goldex.net

About spacegold, it was the worst e-gold scam ever. They were a fraud company.

    4. Gravatar Icon 4 kyteflyer

The information about e-forexgold is not entirely correct. According to the website, they are still not doing out-exchanges on e-gold “until further notice”. They sent an email when they stopped it and no doubt they will send one when they resume… if they resume.

Additionally, there is no notification in the members area of london gold exchange that e-gold out-exchanges have resumed since 29/5. Is there some verification that they have resumed, from a silver member?

Thanks for your comments, I figured there will be a few inaccuracies, with agents changing their webs and rates a lot lately, thanks for helping to point them out, I’ll try to make some corrections. The LGE post was confirmed twice, they communicate very well at LGE, always a leader with that group.
….and yes, I know Marco and he is a great guy, but evo has been gone like two years now and INT went down in flames at least a year ago….there must be a lot of pretty girls on the beach over there to keep him busy for this long!!

      Thanks again for the comments.

Has anyone used “Currency Bot” to exchange e-gold? Their fees are very reasonable, but it could easily be a scam.

    7. Gravatar Icon 7 Jude

      What’s the URL Maes?

    8. Gravatar Icon 8 Fedass

Hello all, I use Thailandgoldexchange.com for years, which has very low fee and credit card enable. Never have problem until now.

Just remind your guys for another exchange service. :-)

    9. Gravatar Icon 9 George

      Not up to date information.
Exchangers that you claim to be accepting egold are not.

    10. Gravatar Icon 10 ePanama

Agents listed either confirmed via email or their current web is displaying the info. Do you want to tell us which are incorrect, and I’ll make some changes or additions.

Mark, still, thank you for this informative post ;)

Hello Jude, thanks for your attention.
      Their URL is: www.currencybot.com

    13. Gravatar Icon 13 Alfred

I might be crazy for doing this but after reading this blog post I decided to resume accepting E-gold as a form of payment for the premium forex signals on my website. We currently offer a coupon for only $9.95 Introductory price to our service and some people had already requested that I resume accepting E-gold. I think no matter what case there is against e-gold there is still a perceived value and a market for it. What the government may or maynot realize is that it is very difficult to sway the minds of over 5,000,000 users on an international level. Especially when there are merchants and consumers and agents still willing to trade a digital currency.

Honestly I have used E-bullion and added it as a form of payment but my favorite exchanger goldex.net is not trading ebullion now ( not sure what happened there ). Ebullion is not nearly as well setup from a viral marketability programming standpoint and therefore may never be as widespread as e-gold. Also they do seem to try and milk fees for the automated spends ( I am on the fence about cryptocard ). Anyway I did resume accepting E-gold on my site so epanama your blog and a few other guys moved me. I just hope I don’t get stuck with 20% out exchanges that take weeks to transact LOL..

You should do some due diligence before you post an exchanger, because some of the people that read it might use them. For instance http://www.currencybot.com/ is a TOTAL SCAM. The domain was purchased on thr 14th of July ( only 7 days old, not so good ) and they’ve got their e-gold account blocked “4617092 (Currency Bot)”. When you try to make an exchange it says so. So that means they fooled some people into making exchanges through them. There might be others on your list. I’d recommend you check it. Just a thought.

    15. Gravatar Icon 15 ePanama

I removed currencybot from that list. Thank you for the input.

Please remember, the idea behind this post is that two months ago, we looked at 20 large agents and only about 7 were really operating full time. Today, 2 months later, here are about 60 out of which only about 10 smaller ones, are out. I know all of the larger ones personally, but I must rely on readers input, like your above post, to scope out the smaller new ones which may present a potential problem. You readers are very good at pointing out the scams and also the great agents to work with, that’s the bonus of posting here all the sharp input from loyal readers.

I (we all) thank you for the input. Everyones input and feedback is welcome and only helps the community become a better place. Thanks again.

      Mark

Thanks for warning, James. To everyone’s regret, if something looks too good to be true it almost always is.

    17. Gravatar Icon 17 TopHYIP

      Me-gold.com has special offers:

You can exchange your e-gold to e-bullion e-currency at -3% now.

      Great information, thanks Mark :)

      Hello,

BEFORE EXCHANGING WITH THE EXCHANGERS MENTIONED IN THE ARTICLE ABOVE MAKE A GOOD RESEARCH!

I post this letter in order to shortly tell my experience with e-currency exchanger AvantumGold.com. I hope this letter will serve as a warning sign and it will stop you from using the service of AvantumGold.com because this exchanger seems to be a well planned SCAM.

I contacted AVANTUMGOLD support on 19/05/2008 asking about their service and received a quick and complete reply. I did 2 exchanges with them of usd 10 and usd 113 egold. THe first one was done the same day, the next one took 3 days.

The latest exchange that I did with them was on 25/05/2008.The exchange details are:

Amount 126 usd egold. Memo- Order ID CC 203849. Batch number 89931245. Paid to account 4539610 (AvantumGold).

This exchange has not been processed by them yet, though it`s been pending for 8 days. I have sent 8 emails to them- they stopped replying.

I strongly believe that AvantumGold.com is a dangerous SCAM which builds up their clients` trust by exchanging small amounts of e-currencies, and finally STEAL the clients` money once the exchanged amounts increase. STAY AWAY from this site!!!

Honestly, it’s surprising how so many of them fold up. In Nigeria, Goldkobo just packed up.
If u are in Nigeria, the most reliable exchangers now are www.sunej.com and www.naira4dollar.com .
