Curt, PonziScams, has two new interesting articles plus another from a couple of days ago. Curt is very good at sniffing out scams. It’s well worth visiting PonziScams.com regularly!

WOW! I knew that Registerfly was in serious trouble when I wrote my first article about them. ICANN made it official on Friday, March 16, 2007. Registerfly is no longer accredited to do domain registrations.

I thought about writing a long post describing what has all happened, but others have it written much better. In addition the following links have advice on what to do if you own a domain name, which is/was registered by Registerfly.

Ok, so you’re in the HYI/Autosurf arena to play/invest. You’ve decided on a program to join. Do you just join using the referral link that got you there? Or do you wait and try to find the right upline? I’d be willing to bet that most of you join using whatever referral link got you there, regardless of whether it was from a friend or just a link you found. I know that there are some of you that take your time and shop for a good upline and some sell their referral commission to the upline that bids the highest. I’ve seen your posts asking for an upline.

Upline shopping can be just as important as hunting for the elusive “best” program. There are many reasons why someone chooses (or ignores who they choose) and I listed the two most common ones in the first paragraph. I know that I can’t possibly list all of the reasons, but here are some of them:

12DP Market is 9 days old and a knock-off on the old giant, 12DailyPro. The terms are very similar. One big difference is the payment processors/ecurrencies that 12DP Market is using. They are accepting E-Gold, e-Bullion, MoneyBookers and PayPal. I’m sure that they didn’t get their “business plan” approved before opening up accounts.

While E-Gold is widely used by both HYIPs and Autosurfs, the others aren’t and with good reason. The others do not accept Autosurfs. Here are excerpts from their Terms of Service (TOS):

Leo, DrunkOnLife Blog, has an excellent tip on hiding your IP address using a proxy server. Since he’s moving his blog soon, I’m going to copy the post here:

CEPTrust is unlicensed, like TriStar Money Changers (TSMC), but what a world of difference in how they are handling the issue! While Bob Krim, TSMC, is clamping down on anyone even asking about it (or any other issue), Trevor, CEPTrust, is pursuing the issue. Not only is he pursing it, he’s allowing an open discussion about it on his forum. You can read the legality thread here. (I’ve been following the discussion for the past few days.) So, kudos goes to Trevor for professionalism and raspberries go to Bob for being a tyrant.

It’s been a while since Bob Krimm bought out XLO and The Finer Things (TFT) closed. Since Bobby has been so much in the news lately, it’s fitting that Andy’s farewell would come this week (a little late, but good timing.)

This post has been edited to add the latest update at the bottom. 3/15/2007.

I can’t believe the nazi-like behavior over at TriStar. Tow the party line or you will be eliminated!! Sheesh, I am really glad none of my money is with them. If it was, it would be stolen when they deleted my account for reporting his updates and my opinion of them! I’m sorry folks, I don’t care how big the TriStar conglomerate is, I just can’t get behind an egotistical tyrant. And he won’t even discuss the legality issue!

Richard has made a few posts at MMG and obviously read other people’s posts. Today he updated JPD with a refund plan. In it he switched from blaming the members to blaming himself, showing humility. He obtained $10K to restart JPD (now JPD2). He’s still asking for 25% of your former account balance, but isn’t requiring it. He’s also giving people until the end of July to deposit the 25%. My advice is to hold off, no matter how long it takes. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… It is never a good idea to spend new money to get old money!

In the past few days I’ve seen people posting their email address in comments. I’ve been editing them out for safety reasons. The authors of this blog do post their email address from time to time, but we know and accept the risks involved. Often posters in comments are not aware of the risks. So, here are some email safety tips:

A week or so ago Richard, JPD admin, hinted that a site was about to run in his farewell to JPD notice. A few sites were speculated as the probable runner. U-Pie was one of the forerunners in the speculation. They are now done, stick them with a fork. (I am just speculating that U-Pie was the site Richard was insinuating, since they are the one that folded and another blogger had enough information to say that it was 100% U-Pie.)

I just received the following email. Maybe it’s because I don’t open 99% of my spam, but I’ve never seen anything like before. Please do not fall for these schemes.

I was evaluating a site, when I came across their news bulletin today about TriStar Money Changers (TSMC). The site’s name and information are excluded, because I didn’t obtain permission from them.

Hello Members! Just wanted to let everyone know that we longer will be able to accept “Tri-Star Money Changers” on our web site. We apologize for the short notice, however we got an email a few hours ago from TSMC saying the following:

All auto surfs and HYIP programs must remove Tri-Star Money Changers from their websites as a payment option.

Any TSMC Ad Pack Purchase previous to the 13th will be honored. We apologize for any inconvenience, however the issue is out of our hands. We encourage people to use AlertPay! Its a VERY secure processor, that excels in member support! http://www.alertpay.com. They have many great features to come in the future so they are our recommendation. Just wanted to say again, THANK YOU to all of the members who have been supporting us! We would not be here if it wasn’t for you.

Add that to withdrawal delays and it looks like the beginning of the end for Bob Krimm. He doesn’t care, though. He’s got his new $349K house in Naples, FL (check out SuccessTalkOnline.com’s whois plus the listing for the house) and yacht!

    JMO,
    Sharon

I wasn’t able to watch the Bob Krimm video, but thanks to Dolphin and an anonymous transcriber, anyone can read the transcript of the video. From what I understand it’s a very accurate transcript.

My first thought as I read through all of the babble was, “Tristar’s withdrawal person, Maria, can spell investment, but can she spell baboon?” Baboons are what they looked like on the transcript, so I can just imagine what they looked like on the video. (B.K. = Baboon King?) To get an idea of what I mean, I’m going to pull some comments out of context (with my own comments after each):

Bob: “Money Changers is a registered money transmitter with the IRS.” ROFL! All the IRS does is register a new EIN, which is similar to the SSN for individuals. ANY business can get one. The sole purpose is so that they can pay taxes under a business name, rather than individual. It has nothing to do with the nature of the business. In fact, the IRS isn’t even a government entity! Warning: Money Changers is still running as an UNLICENSED money transmitter!
