I just received this update from CEP about their informal SEC investigation:

Hi, Everyone!
We have not heard much back at this point regarding the investigation, but I did call our attorney earlier today to see whether he had an idea as to how much longer this process might take. He thinks that it may be at least a few more weeks. We are still working hard behind the scenes to do everything we can. We, too, are part of the waiting game that all of you are a part of, and I promise we do not enjoy it, either. Know that we are thinking about each of you as we do our best to work all of this out. We will update you as soon as we hear anything else. Take care and God Bless until next time!

because of what is happening with e-gold i decided to take the advice of some of the members and move the trading from an e-gold based platform to a dollar one and start to accept deposits by bank wire (in spite of the delays etc).

From Drunk’s World article, Global Online Depository is under SEC Investigation now. As Leo mentioned, it doesn’t really come as a surprise to me either on the scale that they’re raising funds for their business.

In the official SEC complaint pdf , the SEC has issued the owners of GOD a “cease and desist” from offering to sell unregistered securities in both North Dakota and Pennsylvania. With the SEC involved, chances are likely that this will not go in the way of its investors.

John updates via email on 9PlanetNoSurf current status,

9planetnosurf was operating very well over the first 16 days. Four days ago I noticed that withdrawals were at an increase and in fact were outstripping spends. I was hoping that this was not a new trend. The next day withdrawals again exceeded spends. Some new players came on board, finally, so I was hoping that their activities would turn things around. But that was not enough and not fast enough.
