Wordpress can be really slow out the box, especially if (like me) you’re hosting a blog on a shared server. So, what can you do to speed things up?

1.) Keep Updated - install the latest version of Wordpress, no excuses!

Here is the second video as part of my “educational financial videos” series. This one comes from one of my favorites organizations, The Ludwig von Mises Institute. Those of you who want to see more videos like this but don’t have the patience to wait for me to release them over here can head on over to my blog (videos are located at the lower right-hand side).

I know that this blog is about making money with HYIPs, but have you ever wondered what the real nature of money is? I have been researching this subject on and off for quite a while now and I’ve learned a lot of information that honestly changed my entire world view. I’ve watched just about every video I could find on the internet dealing with this subject, read numerous books about economics, and in my journey came across this informative video that you see below. All I can say is that what you think about money will change after watching this video. I will post other videos as time goes on, but for now this is the first in a series of videos to come. A description of the video follows underneath it. Enjoy!

e-goldBack in May, I wrote an article “Who’s Still Alive? 20 E-gold Agent Profiles“. This piece can be considered a follow up to that post.

One angle I’d like to explore, is just how much of e-gold’s business ‘jumped ship’ when they hit the wall. Are they fading away into the distant sunset? One way to calibrate their market acceptance might be to take a close look at who, if anyone, is still acting as an exchange agent for e-gold digital currency.

Are there any exchange providers that still accept e-gold or did the government’s indictment act as a deterrent to their daily business? Ron O’Brien, a senior security analyst at Sophos said in an interview, “But we’ll have to see if [this indictment] serves as a deterrent.” *

Well, open your peepers and let’s take a look.

E-gold exchange providers around the globe, with the exception of about ten, are all still actively providing exchange service for their clients. Even some of the larger agents which had their e-gold funds seized by the government, have just opened new e-gold accounts and are doing business today.

“In Doug We Trust” Who is still exchanging e-gold?

London Gold Exchange - Still strong! Debbie from LGE just confirmed with me inexchange (buy) for just 4% and outexchange (sell) fees are showing on their web as the low price of just 5%. What can I say about LGE that their web does not already tell us:

“In six years the London Gold Exchange has evolved into the Digital Gold and Silver provider of choice for thousands of happy customer’s world wide. Strategically placed with offices around the world, we are ideally positioned to enhance our reputation as the No.1 Digital Gold and Silver provider.”

Ice Gold - Alive but moving a bit slower today. They are accepting e-gold outexchange (selling) but its on a limited basis as they need it. “…we have set a limit of 10,000 USD (or equivalent) per customer in one day.” You can also buy e-gold from them for a 2% fee. International bank wires or local Estonia wire transfers are accepted. If you speak German, you can read the recent interview Paul Vahur gave to a liberty.li magazine regarding e-gold and the US actions.

AnyGoldNow - From their web, they appear to be alive and kicking. I just visited and their forms are working to process in and outexchanges. I will assume that means they are still active in the e-gold business. Their web shows, to buy e-gold, you will only pay between 1.25% and 2%. If you would like to sell, your outexchange fees will be 4%-7%. That is not too bad for Patrick’s quality service. AnyGoldNow features same day exchanges and trades e-gold, e-Bullion, Pecunix, C-gold & Phoenix Silver. Here is a new c-gold agent!

EuroGoldSales - Still exchanging e-gold. Like other agents, their rates vary. Sell them e-gold today you would be paying 6% in fees

PeterB, Club-FX is not responding to my emails as well as PMs. No matter how busy he is, he should be replying to my email to listen to my proposal on the recovery on the hacked funds on the E-gold account. If he’s not, you can form your own opinions on what I think of this matter.

After posting a comment to Jude’s late January post about A3Union, I was again struck by the ongoing and unanimous success it and the more sophisticated HYIP scams like it experience. Once a novelty, such programs have become much more commonplace over the past year or two as scammers adapt the working of their craft to a (only slightly) more discriminating and educated potential member pool. The outspoken advocate of investor - or gambler, if you prefer - education that I am, I think recognizing what it is that certain programs have in common, loosely categorizing them and analyzing them on that basis is of paramount importance for understanding the world of HYI (a generic label that encompasses HYIPs, surfs, and so on). Profit - and survival, for that matter - do not come without understanding, so anyone looking to make money online by unconventional means will have to do some considerable thinking. So, put your thinking cap on for a moment and follow me into the slick and sordid muck of what I call legitimation scams.

The term “ponzi scheme” reminds me of pond scum. It may look like a pretty green shade of feed, but in reality it is toxic and sucks the life out of the fish trying to swim in the pond. How long are we going to let the pond scum of the HYIP/Surf world suck the life out of those of us trying to swim?

I know that I’m going to get flamed for this article with people wanting to know why I’m trying to bite the hand that feeds us. After all 99% of all HYIPs/Surfs are ponzi schemes. Well, I am not the only one sick and tired of these scammers and it’s time to take a stand against them. They are illegal, because they are toxic to our funds. If we aerate the HYI pond with knowledge and understanding, we can kill off a great number of these pond scum.

    Imagine you were a scammer.

What would you want? What would be your most important goals?

To get as much money as you can and to get out clean.

Most HYIP investors seem to have problem putting themselves in the scammer’s shoes. This of course means that they are honest people and hardly can think like a scammer, but also makes them naive and pliable to fraud.

I assume that you know that NoBS Network has the typical forum folders, like Scam Warnings, HYIPs and Surfs. Do you know what else is in there? Did you know that NoBS Network has something for everyone?

    Advice
You’ve probably heard “there’s plenty of free advice out there”, but finding it all and putting it in one place for easy reference is a nightmare. Advice isn’t just for newbies, either! Veterans in the HYIP industry need to refer to advice, too. Everyone in this industry needs to reference advice, even if it’s just to double-check someone else’s point of view. There are almost 150 advice articles scattered throughout NoBS HYIP Blog alone.

Now you have the free advice all in one place, NoBS Network! (more…)

Ok, so you’re in the HYI/Autosurf arena to play/invest. You’ve decided on a program to join. Do you just join using the referral link that got you there? Or do you wait and try to find the right upline? I’d be willing to bet that most of you join using whatever referral link got you there, regardless of whether it was from a friend or just a link you found. I know that there are some of you that take your time and shop for a good upline and some sell their referral commission to the upline that bids the highest. I’ve seen your posts asking for an upline.

Upline shopping can be just as important as hunting for the elusive “best” program. There are many reasons why someone chooses (or ignores who they choose) and I listed the two most common ones in the first paragraph. I know that I can’t possibly list all of the reasons, but here are some of them:

All this talk about e-currency transmissions made me think about a couple of articles I read the other day. They concern e-gold. Both are extremely well written, researched and credible. The second article is in 3 parts.
