    Wanted: Henry James Banayat

A year and a half ago I introduced this blog to PointShareXtreme, only it was called PointShareGold back then. I was still pretty green to the HYIP industry and was jumping on anything that looked remotely promising. At the same time I was getting my proverbial butt kicked by HYIPs. So, when PSX stopped paying and started a long, slow road to changes I was more than happy to wait and jump through hoops, as long as it didn’t cost me any more money. I posted what was going on at this blog until we were told we were under a gag order. Even then I continued to jump through the hoops and even notified everyone that had joined under me what those hoops were.

Well, this weekend Henry James Banayat finally announced the demise of his “vision.” Did he take any blame? NO! Did he apologize for any of the failed promises? NO!! Did he at least apologize for stringing everyone along for so long? NO!!! What he displayed this weekend was the most egotistical, narcissistic exit that I have seen, yet. (That includes the egotistical, narcissistic exit that Bobby Krimm pulled.)

Here are the two posts at the mothership site, Compumatrix and Network Interactive, Inc (CNII):

    A Message from the CEO
    Written by Administrator
    Friday, 10 August 2007

PointShareXtreme is paying and will continue to pay. Unlike any other program, we have been paying members with prepaid load credits that can be converted into cash in several ways. This is the only program that has combined powerful concepts such as the prepaid industry, internet marketing/online advertising and e-Shopping. Only PSX funds can be used to purchase these e-products and avail our e-services. We are never a High Yield Investment Program or a get-rich-quick scheme. Our business plan had always been focused on sales and marketing, provision of jobs for people worldwide (working as Independent Internet Marketing Associates) and ensuring growth of small and medium enterprises. However, I am sad that the forum feels neglected just for the fact that our company are taking every measure to ensure the programs longevity. Our company are making things possible and are focused on ensuring that with the tremendous growth of this program, all members should have been trained, equipped and educated with our business plan, marketing plans and how or why our program will work and benefit a lot of people.

What was seen in negative forums are pointless allegations. Our company is well aware of the fact that the NBI is indeed trying to pull this program down by hitting the President and Founder of Compumatrix. Compumatrix manages PSX and other websites that are envisioned to assist people from every walk of life. If you were to search online, you would notice that the agent they are dealing with have had a reputation of “selective prosecution.”

It saddens me that our members stopped promoting this program since they thought and always seem to think that it is a High Yield Investment Program. We are not. The company, together with the teleworkers, sell prepaid load packages in the form of packaged online advertising credits, which should allow members to increase their leads, contacts and customer base. That is why we need millions of members worldwide. As of the recent statistics, there are over 1.1 Billion internet usetrs worldwide and our goal is to open up their eyes to the various business opportunities on the internet today and to let them showcase their skills and enhance their knowledge by letting PSX as a venue of informative materials which can be purchased if they have our PSX funds.

We have set our value. But members should respect the value of our funds. It is used to purchase our e-products and e-services. And we will place more goods and services that can be availed in our system especially upon launching our merchant program.

Everyone should think deeper into our long-term vision and be aware that this is a revolutionary system that would eventually change everyones lives, hopes and dreams.

Our company will remain to stay on this path towards that vision of changing the world through caring and sharing. And I hope members realizes that this is not a one-sided program. We need each others support in this venture. We need to fight towards achieving each and everyones goals.

Our company is determined and will see to it that our program will continue to work for each and everyone. Every available balance are attainable if they only start to value it and think of the things that the funds are good for first so that they’d know how to market it properly. All these shall start the moment you decide to accept the changes in the program and walk together towards the long term vision of PointShareXtreme.com.

    And:

PointShareXtreme has a vision, like most visionaries throughout history; they are persecuted or worse, killed, before they can fulfill the purpose of that vision. Once the vision is destroyed, it doesn’t matter if it is then appreciated because the visionary is lost and the prosperity that might have been is lost as well.

So much has been said and done to “kill” the vision Henry James Banayat has for his organization, but it is not the efforts of the masses, it is the frantic actions of a “handful” of individuals. Individuals who are either not capable or unwilling to understand the necessity for the organization to evolve in order to keep up with a growing membership.

Since PointShareXtreme.com has opened for membership in the Philippines, there has become an urgent need to evolve. From the beginning, passive membership was permitted. Passive membership was basically, “purchase a plan and wait for the rebates.” In reality, it presented an unbelievable opportunity, “unbelievable but true,” to pay a little and receive a lot with no effort on the part of the passive member. As a result, the number of passive members grew to such a high number, that the funds of the organization were greatly depleted. At this point in time the policies of the organization must change drastically in order to remain stable. It is imperative that members actually start to consider putting forth some effort as well, to ensure the stability of the organization.

As members, we all need to take the initiative to “work” for our own financial future and not let this opportunity die. As it stands now, members that have been working up to this point are not receiving their rebates because passive members are not working at all and not contributing to the success of the organization. Every member, upon requesting membership, signed an application agreeing to two (2) specific points:

    • That I agree to be an independent marketing associate of CNII and I agree to market or sell its products and services under its various programs; and
    • The Company reserves the right to modify, amend and or update its policies and procedures under its pay program for its best interests and that of its members.

Every complaint that has been made has come from a member that has not fulfilled the conditions of the agreement they signed. In reality, what is happening here in the Philippines is the cause for the organization’s instability. It is now the responsibility of Filipino members to rectify the problem by taking responsibility and the initiative to “work” and repair the damage Passive membership has caused. Let’s all be thankful for the prosperity we have experienced thus far and exhaust every effort to ensure the long term prosperity all members have yet to experience.

As you can see, instead of apologizing, Henry did what a lot of scammers do; he blamed it on the members! Well, I lay the blame squarely on his shoulders. I am a bit embarrassed at having been swayed by broken promise after broken promise. It wasn’t that I had put a great deal of money into PSuX. It was more that I had nursed to a $120K virtual account! I, like so many others, let greed get in front of common sense. For that and for not writing about this sooner, I apologize to all NoBS HYIP Blog readers.

Good riddance to Henry James Banayat! I hope justice prevails and you rot in jail thinking about your so-called “vision” and all of the people that you hurt to help no one, except yourself!

One note of personal observation that I must add is that the forum administrators are not to be blamed in this case. In some programs, the forum administrators are in cahoots with the program administrator, but not in this case. They were told more lies than the members were. In the end, they were beaten to a pulp by this program, just like the members were.

Dan, Life Holdings have decided to curb memberships in a way by taking new membership deposits off from LH website. More details can be found here.

    Hello.

Today I have taken down the deposit forms on the website (and all the monitoring buttons from the FAQ page).

The reason is simple, from now on you can only deposit to take the place of another member who is being fully or partially refunded. I will post here the spots that are available and I will frequently update it.

Right now there are only 3 spots available, see below. More will become available soon as refunds are completed. If you want to join you can pick any of the three or a different amount within the total available limit.

    #1 – amount $1,000
    #2 – amount $2,000
    #3 – amount $4,700

Or a total amount of $7,700 if one might want to cover the entire amount in one go. if you are interested contact me and I will send you the deposit details.

    Regards,
    Dan

Legisi had a lot of their e-gold seized on April 2007 *before* they went private.

According to Scott, Greg did mentioned it in his private forum but whenever some funds are seized by the government, its very likely you will be the next target of “big brother”.

Is this the beginning of the end for Legisi or can it recover?

Total amount seized – over $1.7 MILLION dollars.

These coupons will be useful for some discounts if you’re looking at registering a new domain at Godaddy Go Daddy

OYH3 – $2 off your newly registered domain

OYH1 - 10% off without any maximum purchase

    OYH2 – $5 off anything over $30 purchase

The discounts are probably valid till end of this year. So keep them in handy if you are gonna start any .com/.net/.org related. Do note that if Godaddy has any promotions going on, the above codes will not work (the promotions probably are better than the coupons in terms of discounts anyway)

Simon Emery, one of our blog author has came out with something innovative that might revolutionize how publishers and advertisers can work hand in hand to cut contextual ad management companies like Text-link Ads, Kontera and many others. Is his model viable? Let’s find out.

    Reason for OIOPublish

Firstly and most importantly, it doesn’t cost anything for you to register with them, and OIOPublish don’t take any fees or undercut any fees that is coming from the advertiser, meaning you as a publisher gets 100% of the ad revenue placed on your publication.

OIOPublish Direct simply allows you to have a module placed in, effectively allows advertiser to purchase an ad from the module and have it automatically recorded on a administrative panel which you can approve or disallow the ad. You can read more in details via their FAQ

    2 Solutions Offered

OIOPublish Direct currently allows two options, having a plug-in for wordpress and a full hosted version if you have no knowledge or ways to install the plug-in provided. I’ll review both the options.

Downloading and Setting plug-in for WordPress

OIOPublisher Installed! Pretty Easy Downloading the plug-in and installing it was fairly easy since we are just placing the unzipped version into the /plug-ins directory and activating it via the plug-in panel. You will just have to add the functions on wherever you want the purchase links for advertisers and the link zones to appear as well on your publication.

The version at the point of this review is 1.04

    Settings for plug-in

Setup SectionYou are allowed to do tests on your own by enabling the Test Pay Mode and Links Test Mode. I had them enabled for personal testing on this HYIPBlog to see how the ads will appear. Also, you can choose on the options advertiser should pay before or after the approval of the ad (a boon in my opinion). Most options here are well thought and planned. You can set the price of any form of ads OIO Direct setup is easy ;)too.

As with other wordpress plugins, just add the function codes to where you want the ‘Make Purchase’ or ‘View more Offers’ link to appear.

Advertising as a client on my publication with OIOPublish Direct

    The WordPress Version

How OIODirect Ads LookI’ve placed a Contextual Ad with ‘WordPress can’ on Simon’s latest article on WordPress to be linked to our forex blog. The process is very straight forward. Find the post, provide the url and match the post number with the keyword/ keywords that you want to link as a contextual ad. Pay up. Poof! The requests get sends to the publisher. I have many choices as an advertiser (The forms of ad include home page, single page, side wide, contextual advertising.

Simon has even included Post Pricing, so you can get the publisher to write a review or a blog entry on your product for more Oompf (kinda like ReviewMe) )

    The Hosted Version

OIO Publisher - HostedThe hosted version of OIOPublish looks very similar to the WordPress Plug-in version. You can set your ad settings through the OIOPublisher website and have a URL to link to from your blog. This caters to non-word press bloggers who wants to use this to sell ads to publishers (Blogspots, Xanga, Whatever, I think you can use it for non-blog publications as well). The available type of ads are all similar to the WordPress version.

Running OIOPublish Direct as a Publisher

    For WordPress Version

OIOPublish Ad ManagementOnce an advertiser has placed an ad through OIOPublisher, you have Post Manager and Link Manager for you to manage all your posts. You can view your active ads, approve or reject any incoming new ads, or even see the list of unpaid ads here. It makes managing really easy.

    For Hosted Version

It works exactly the same way as the WordPress version. The only troublesome thing is the ads are not automatically added to your publication. You have to add the codes of the ad manually in. (Meaning you have to remove the codes upon ad expiry too, tsk, switch to WordPress)

Advertising my ad space availability through OIOPublisher’s MarketPlace

OIO Market PlaceJust login OIOPublish Marketplace and place your blog into the list so advertisers can look for you from the list. There are currently 12 main categories to choose from ranging from Arts to Technology. Pretty sufficient for a start.

    Thoughts and Conclusion

The concept will work out very nicely if OIOPublisher’s MarketPlace has ample publishers for advertisers to look. Generally it doesn’t appeal to advertisers for them to look for sources to publish their ads when they can use other services like Google Adsense, Text-Link-Ads have teams to automatically place them to relevant publishers. Of course, direct advertisers who are interested in your website stand to gain the most out of OIO.

You can use it as a standalone system without the help of the listing in OIO Marketplace though experience can be enhanced if OIO have a support/ marketing team that deals with the listings.

The FAQs on both the wordpress plugin version and hosted version can be further improved so its easier to understand. I had trouble navigating through on how it works for the initial part, but things get better and better with updates coming very often (initial stage perhaps? lol).

Opinions and bugs are discussed here in Nobsnetwork, and the author takes good care of most of the suggestions coming in, which is a good thing.

I love the idea of benefiting on full ad revenue, though we still cannot remove the big brothers of the market like TLA and Adsense (till OIO Market matures) completely on our site, but I will be using it here on this blog definitely.

With the recent craze of Apple iPhones, things just don’t stop there. They’ve revamped their whole range of Apple iMac PCs to adopt the looks of their new phone. Well I’ve always been a fan of how Apple market and design their products, stylish.

Maybe it’s time to get a new iMac for my work? Hmm, wonder if the learning curve for adopting Mac OS is high.

    Loomster

Mark puts words across better than me. More on Loomster Beta.

Loom software makes it possible to transfer digital title of an asset via the Internet. The actual asset may never change hands or move locations but ownership or digital ‘title’ to that asset can change dozens of times or more each hour. Its also possible that the asset may not even be a physical object.

Any user can create and issue their own type of asset. Beta testers can create their own type of Loomster assets. Asset types can be physical objects such as a gram of gold or anything two or more people agree has value.

There is a group now creating “volunteer hours”. A VH is digital title to ownership of work hours donated by members of their organization. There is no physical item stored or ‘backing’ these digital units. Each unit is equivalent to one hour of donated volunteer time within that organization. Their membership groups trade and issue “VH” units to accomplish local tasks such as the recent cleaning and restoration of a old park and vacant lot.

The popular exchange provider GoldNow has issued their own GoldNow Gold Grams. Each digital unit is equal to one gram of gold. Loomster has issued Open2Exchange Bucks or O2E-$ which is equal to one USD for exchange with O2E cash account balances.

Anyone can create or issue their own asset and exchange them on the Loom Software. GoldNow Grams are exchanged on the Loom Gold web site. O2E-$ is exchanged on Loomster. These two domains operate independently of each other but both are the same Open Source Loom Software.

With Loom Software, there is no ‘back office’ system of administration overseeing all transactions. If you lose your folder location, you also lose everything in that folder. You cannot request your old access….its gone and that is final. Lost assets do not secretly become property of the administrator, they are ‘missing at sea’ and unless you know what location to find them…..your assets will never be recovered. There is no backup database that can be mined for your lost or stolen items. No administrator can peek into the system and re-arrange folders, reclaim assets or reverse transactions. It is simply not possible.

Any Loom user can create his or her own assets and transfer title as they desire. No administrator has any ability to block that commerce, reverse it, change it or reclaim it.

Finally, all users must remember, transfer of a digital title is not a guarantee of good delivery for that asset. When using Loom Software users must personally rate the issuer of those assets. If someone you know issues digital title to one of his assets and proves to you that they will deliver if requested, you might reasonably assume since you know them that they will deliver.

Just beware, if someone you do not know, issues assets and they ask you to exchange them for value—-> It is buyer beware.

Loomster has no complaint department if you end up with bogus or worthless assets. Due diligence is 100% your responsibility.

If Boy Scout Troop 384 issued VH units(Volunteer Hours) and I needed my house painted, I’d be happy to buy 5 VH units and have them complete the job. I trust the Scouts and I know Troop 384 members. I know they will deliver on their VH digital IOU. I trust the issuer and I’ll accept those assets.

If Vladamir from Moscow, issues DIA units backed by flawless diamonds for the low low price of just $50 per carat, I would NOT want to own that asset. I don’t trust the issuer to deliver on that asset and would not do business with anyone making that claim.

Users must also be careful to notice that if Peter from Los Angeles, issues his own assets call VH-BS (Volunteer Hours Boy Scouts) and tries to exchange them with you from his local ‘troop 385′, you had better be careful to check if his assets are the real deal (actual VH units from Troop 384) or a clone of the original. Just like checking that you are shopping at the real Amazon.com web site by verfying the SSL certificate, you will want to check that you are doing business with the actual verfied VH unit and not a clone. This is very easy enough to check once you are aware it could be a possible problem.

August is beta testing month for Loomster.net which is currently operating the Loom Software version 51. Input on the Loomster operation is needed, so please sign up today and get your first Loomster folder with test assets. Loomster is not yet in operation for any actual commerce, it is still in testing mode and learning from beta user’s input. Find out how you can create your own asset and how to value other assets in the Loom system. Learn what secondary exchange market might be available and the benefits of using the Loom Software in everyday commerce.

WordPress can be really slow out the box, especially if (like me) you’re hosting a blog on a shared server. So, what can you do to speed things up?

1.) Keep Updated – install the latest version of WordPress, no excuses!

2.) Monitor your Stats – by default, wordpress includes the ability to display the number of database calls made per page, and the page execution time. I haven’t seen it able to monitor server loads (how hard the server is working), so I put together a quick plugin to add this ability, along with the full monitoring display code. You can view my short article here. Remember, the smaller the numbers are, the less resources being used, the better your site will load!

3.) WordPress Cache – now that you’ve got an easy way to monitor your server resources, you could well find that there are many calls to the database per page, along with a few spikes in server load. WordPress comes with an inbuilt caching mechanism, to stop the datbase being hit so often. By itself, this may not benefit you too much, but I’d say enable it anyway by adding the line of code below to your wp-config.php file:

    define(’ENABLE_CACHE’, true);

4.) Proper Caching – this is more advanced, but it works amazingly well. If you’ve ever had problems with slow loading times and stretched resources, you should try out this plugin. It may take some playing about with if you want to keep parts of your site dynamic (it includes the ability to do this), but if you’re comfortable with WordPress, I’d say give it a try. You can view full instructions, and download the plugin, from the author’s site. Hint: if using this plugin, disable WordPress’ inbuilt cache.

5.) Plugin Usage – the WordPress plugin system is great, but it can start to slow your site down if you install too many that aren’t well put together. Slow database queries can really be a killer (although if you have wp-cache installed, not as noticeable), so only install the plugins that you really need!

6.) Theme Selection – some themes might look nice, but if they contain too many images (resulting in longer downloading times and more http requests) they might not be a good choice. There is a huge selection of wordpress themes out there, and plenty of nice themes that aren’t overly reliant on lots of images. The same goes for any images you add to your site in the form of badges or logos – do you really need them all?

7.) Content Compression – the less time it takes for users to download your blog pages, the better. WordPress provides gzipping by default in the Options menu, but I always turn it off, since it can cause problems. In truth, any form of content compression can be a problem, depending on the browser used, but I’ve yet to have a problem using the htaccess file. Did you know that not only can you compress your html, but also your css and javascript files as well? If you use a lot of javascript on your site for example, this will make a big difference to many users:

    (a) Open up your htaccess file in your wordpress root directory (or create one if your host allows). Below the line RewriteEngine On, add the following code:

    ## CSS Compression
    RewriteCond %{HTTP:Accept-encoding} gzip
    RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^(.*).css
    RewriteCond %{SCRIPT_FILENAME}.gz -f
    RewriteRule ^(.*)\.css $1.css.gz [L]

    ## JS Compression
    RewriteCond %{HTTP:Accept-encoding} gzip
    RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^(.*).js
    RewriteCond %{SCRIPT_FILENAME}.gz -f
    RewriteRule ^(.*)\.js $1.js.gz [L]

    (b) you can also compress the html by use of the following line at the top of your htaccess file. Remember that this *may* sometimes cause problems, although I have yet to have any myself. Also make sure that WordPress gzipping is turned off in the Options menu:

    php_flag zlib.output_compression On

    (c) once your htaccess file is saved, you then need to zip up any javascript or css file you want to compress. If you don’t, the code in (a) will have no effect. I use this utility to zip up the files, and then upload them back into the web folder they came from. Important: make sure you keep the original files there too!

8.) Server Tuning – this won’t apply to a lot of users on shared servers, since there isn’t much you can do about it. However, having use of a php cache like eAccelerator can dramatically cut server load, and so help speed up your site even further. I have just had my account moved on servage.net to the latest server cluster, specifically because it uses eAccelerator caching, and I can already see the difference in resource usage. If it’s not installed, and you don’t have full access to the server, there is nothing you can do (except beg!).

On a related note, if you have access to the memcache php extension, someone has written some code to take advantage of it. Again, this really doesn’t apply to 99.9% of people (only benefits heavier traffic sites), but I thought I’d add it in at the end!

Well, that’s about all I can think of right now. Happy tuning!

The best domain host is not necessarily the web hosting service everyone is raving about. Sad but true, the web hosting review is not always right. A lot of free web hosting services often do not carry good reviews, but are good nonetheless. Some even offer colocation hosting. A service is considered good if it can hold up a number of website templates on a regular broadband connection.

Here is the second video as part of my “educational financial videos” series. This one comes from one of my favorites organizations, The Ludwig von Mises Institute. Those of you who want to see more videos like this but don’t have the patience to wait for me to release them over here can head on over to my blog (videos are located at the lower right-hand side).

Below you’ll find a concise description of the subject matter portrayed by this video:

Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson understood “The Monster”. But to most Americans today, Federal Reserve is just a name on the dollar bill. They have no idea of what the central bank does to the economy, or to their own economic lives; of how and why it was founded and operates; or of the sound money and banking that could end the statism, inflation, and business cycles that the Fed generates.

Dedicated to Murray N. Rothbard, steeped in American history and Austrian economics, and featuring Ron Paul, Joseph Salerno, Hans Hoppe, and Lew Rockwell, this extraordinary new film is the clearest, most compelling explanation ever offered of the Fed, and why curbing it must be our first priority.

Alan Greenspan is not, we’re told, happy about this 42-minute blockbuster. Watch it, and you’ll understand why. This is economics and history as they are meant to be: fascinating, informative, and motivating. This movie could change America.

    Dear Mr. GDCA President,

I have been writing and blogging lately about the possible or alleged recent issues regarding e-Bullion. I feel, as do many readers, it is important to determine whether these possible issues are rhetoric, a few unhappy agents or possibly big events that will effect the industry as a whole… I now see that the GDCA has posted a warning regarding e-bullion at: http://gdcaonline.org/content/news.html

E-bullion This piece of news is not new. I have been pondering whether the update on GDCA is recent since there’s no date indication on the page at all (Just look at the news right below, the piece on Intgold is so old!).

Also, Mark have written an entry on the warning too. I’m guessing he’s not a fan of GDCA by the way he puts it. (tsk tsk, why not lets start one industry watchdog!)

    The warning:

    E-BULLION WARNING

Due to numerous unanswered complaints, the Global Digital Currencies Association would like consumers and merchants to be aware that E-bullion.com closes and/or freezes accounts without any court order or reasonable justification, sometimes freezing customer funds forever.

This unscrupulous policy makes E-bullion an unfavorable system for online commerce and for the safe and secure storage and transfer of funds.
We recommend that E-bullion account holders switch to a different digital currency immediately in order to avoid frozen accounts and loss of funds, such as:

    1. GoldMoney – www.goldmoney.com
    2. Pecunix – www.pecunix.com
    3. Liberty Reserve – www.libertyreserve.com
    4. c-gold – www.c-gold.com
    5. PhoenixDollar – www.phoenixdollar.com

Whether is it true that E-bullion is suspending accounts without grounds remain a question since there are no proofs being presented. Mark has emailed them for an official response but if E-bullion is working as to what one of his reader Andy comment ‘They don’t even respond to customer complaints so I wouldn’t hold your breath.’, chances are slim that we’ll get any response.

On the other hand, it’s good to see C-gold is gaining good grounds with the Digital Currency community. With such warning dampening E-bullion, and with E-gold facing DOJ indictment, who will emerge as the next leader in the digital bullion empire?

The key to successful internet marketing today is endorsing affiliate marketing. That means no to free web hosting services and other associated deals. A cheap web hosting may deliver the works, but will be accompanied by quite a few problems. You may not be able to go with your preferred web site design. You may have to break up your pre-formed web design contract as your host is not compatible enough. Also, the usual web site development tool may not used with as much affectivity.

    WordPress 2.2.2 has been released.

Download a copy from WordPress Download and upgrade today. Note that the site still reflects the version as 2.2.1 now, but the actual download file is version 2.2.2

Today we have two security-related releases available for both users of our main 2.2 branch and the legacy 2.0 branch. As these releases include only security and minor bugfixes they should not cause any plugin or theme compatibility issues, so you have no good excuse not to upgrade.
